This year I am going to Disney from September 19-26.

I found out that the Food and Wine Festival starts on the 25th (Friday).

I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on how busy the opening day generally is?

It's a combination of slightly busy and CM new at their positions figuring out to best make the booths work. Since it's a Friday night, there will be a number of locals coming out to the booths. The lines aren't too bad, but tend to move slowly. I have actually seen booths completely rearranged between Friday and Saturday to improve the flow of customers and workers.

You also can visit the festival on the day before opening. There is normally a CM preview event with the booths open to the public for practice.

It will not be too busy until about 2pm but by that time it will be busy and get steadier busy for the rest of the day. It is great to catch a few booths for lunch and then maybe hop over to DHS for the later afternoon/evening.

I went last year. I remember F&W started on the 19th and I went on the 20th. It wasn’t crowded at all. Around 4pm lines started to move a bit slowly specially Canada, Italy and Japan (between 10 to 20 minutes:teleport:). But around 8 pm it was a bit difficult to walk in England and Morocco because of the pub:drinking1 and that music show with the belly dancer.
However it was definitely less crowded as I expected to be and my son got all his passport stamps by himself without a problem :yay:

We went those dates in 2013 and went to F&W on the opening day. It wasn't too crowded at first but a lot of the booths were filled with CMs who were unfamiliar with what they were doing, so ordering / paying too longer than normal. But the crowds grew bigger as the day wore on and by 4 pm it was packed and there were several obxnious groups of younger people (early 20s). We went to MNSSHP that night so we made an early exit.

it will be fine up until late afternoon when the locals start getting off work/school.

Hey guys,
Can't wait to head down to Food and Wine 2015. Has anyone ever done the Epcot Food and Wine Premium package? Will be looking to do it the first week of food and wine. We're heading down Sept 26-Oct 4.

Has the food and wine premium package been released yet for 2015 ???
