Again, I'm so happy you enjoyed the reviews and pics. Other posters have helped me so much on these boards and it was my pleasure to finally reciprocate.
Final thoughts. Since this was our first F&W Festival, I have nothing to compare it to. I absolutely love Disney almost as much as I love food and wine, so for me this was a dream come true. The trip itself was unique in that it was food focused and not necessarily "fun" focused, if you know what I mean. That being said, I wish I had more time to spend. While I loved the food booths, I didn't have enough time to attend all the other events I would have liked and still have been able to enjoy the "fun" aspect of visiting other parks. I think one could spend weeks at the festival and not see and do it all. Just doing the booths took so much time. And, of course, there is only so much one can eat in any one afternoon or evening...or even both. It was somewhat overwhelming.
All in all, it was a great experience. Would I do it again? Probably. Would DH do it again, I asked. A resounding "no" was his answer. He really enjoyed his time there but I think a lot of his answer has to do with the fact that his love for Disney is no where as great as mine. I think his appreciation for food is also not as great as mine. He likes to eat and is not too particular about what's on his plate.
I will review PFTS in a later post, but we both thought that was just too over the top for our tastes. It could be such a great event and it failed on so many levels. I think we were both relieved to have left. And yet there were other events I would have loved, but I wanted first to do as many booths as possible in order to get the greatest "taste" of the festival that I could.
So, I achieved most of what I set out to do and enjoyed almost every minute of it. My bathroom scale will certainly attest to that!!!
