Food and wine booths not to be missed

When it the best time of day to visit the booths- least crowds for weekday visit? It has been around 5 years since we last went.

Last year we went right when the World Showcase opened. And we didn't go at night or on the weekend.

That's the only time to get a Belgian Waffle. And ironically, the only time we got one was the day before "official" opening-I think most of the time, like bobbiwoz said, they probably weren't available. I'm another lover of the chocolate creme brûlée in France, the lamb chop with potato crunchees (Australia), the pierogi in Poland, and the Greek salad. I never noticed that green tea colada in Japan that a PP mentioned-gotta try that!

Stay away on the weekends including Friday night. You really start seeing the crowds building around 3 to 4 and then it gets packed. Long lines. Weekdays you can basically just walk up to any kiosk or have a short wait. When WS opens obviously it is the least crowded. Nights get crowded in the evening but on Disney terms, not that terrible.

We have only been to F & W once a few years ago. We're looking forward to Nov to go without the kids! I remember two of my faves last time were Canada cheese soup and Italy cannoli.

Here are some of mine that aren't to be missed by me:

Brazil (All-New Menu):
Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Onions, Avocado and Cilantro

Argentina:
Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée

Australia:
Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies

Mexico:
Shrimp Taco with Purple Cabbage
Taco de Ribeye with Salsa de Chipotle

Ireland:
Kerrygold Cheese Selection: Reserve Cheddar, Dubliner with Irish Stout, Skellig
Warm Chocolate Pudding with Bailey’s® Custard

All of the above!

Also really enjoyed the cheese plate at the Cheese booth; and

Greece:
Griddled Greek Cheese with Pistachios and Honey
Chicken Gyro with Tzatziki Sauce

I WILL BE MISSING the Mussels at the Belgium kiosk. They have been awesome the past two years!

I don't make any reservations for meals. We eat and drink our way around the world for two days!
