Our family will be at DL the middle of February. We have one child with food allergies. I was hoping to have some sundries delivered to our hotel on our arrival date. Where best can a Canadian order allergy friendly foods for delivery?

Amazon fresh is one people seem to be having great success with, you can order all sorts of grocery items. You can also order from Von's which is the same as Safeway in Canada.

What allergies does your child have and what are you looking to order?

I will try that. Thank you. It's a severe cow's milk allergy - milk is in EVERYTHING

FYI, there's dairy in McDonald's fries in the US. You might want to pack a day or 2 worth of food just in case there's an issue with delivery. Also, if you use a car service, like Lanksy they include a grocery stop.

I am actually using von's my trip next week, I just wanted some healthier alternatives to the greasy options (that I will also enjoy). I got things like snacks for the hotels, lunchables for in the park, and apple slices and carrot sticks.

With all the activity I wanted more energy for the parks and it's actually less expensive...

Yes. We've noted that. I never leave home without a multitude of snacks. I had high hopes I would be able to buy Enjoy Life brand at a reasonable price.

They just replied to me re delivery. Said I could have it delivered to the resort for pick up, and some other details about calling my bank and changing information for a US order. Have you had to do this? I've also asked them to clarify delivery as I'm not guest of the resort hotels.

We used Vons- there was a free first delivery offer on the site. You can sign in and see what they have and when you order you can click for no substitutes or if there is something else I case an item is out of stock.
They delivered right to my hotel- within the hour I selected on the website. I picked a time after check in and I knew we would be at the hotel (The driver called just before he arrived). Let your hotel know an order is coming just in case.
We ordered diapers, Gatorade, water, kids shampoo, snacks, pretzels (I brought ziplock bags to Rebag them for the park), yogurt, spoons, and even pie from the bakery (I can't comment on how allergy friendly they are since I wasn't looking for that)
Maybe someone can jump in and help with the bank info - I know there is a thread on it on here.
ETA- at the end of this thread explains the bank zip code http://www.disboards.com/threads/grocery-delivery-for-canadians.3449784/#post-54478573

I used the website. Picked out the items I wanted, gave my hotel details, picked an hour window, and then paid with debit. I won't know how actual delivery goes til my first day this Monday. (:

Like Chris said make sure you let your hotel know day of delivery, I plan to call them the morning of my flight just in case.

I've read some people had the hotel desk turn them awY because they were not told in advance... So I wouldn't risk it.

How exciting! This will be our first ever trip to DL in February
I contacted Von's and they claim I have to to a DL hotel guest. We are staying at a good neighbour hotel. I've sent another email to have this point clarified.
Let me know how it goes for delivery on Monday?

You can find a list of stores that carry their products on the Enjoy Life site. Not every Vons will have the same selection of products, so they may not all even have them. The GF desserts at Jolly Holiday are Enjoy Life.

You should contact your hotel and ask which stores deliver. Guests have probably had groceries delivered before, so the hotel should be able to make a recommendation. Then you can check if those stores carry the products you want. Though with something non-perishable it might just be easier to pack it.

I was able to order from Von's online and get everything delivered to a good neighbor hotel (the Clarion). This was about 3 years ago though. Also, the zip code trick work just fine with my Canadian credit card.
