I am not sure where to post this, so please pardon my ignorance. We are looking at our first trip next year and my 10 yo son is allergic to all nuts and peas.

I understand that in the restaurants the chef will come talk to you and make arrangements, but how do you do it when you are wandering around and are ready to eat somewhere. How do I manage to ensure everything is safe?

Any and all guidance will be appreciated...

There is a disAbilities board where you can find more allergy info. But long story short all of the quick places have lists of ingredients so that you can find safe foods. You can also email SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com and they can send you some lists of places that have special allergy safe foods. I'm also allergic to nuts and peas and it's no problem at WDW except for baked goods which unless prepackaged are mostly off limits due to cross contamination concerns.
