I went on an interview today and was given an email address incase I had any correspondence or more information to send.

Should I send a follow up letter?

Absolutely. Send them a note thanking them for their time and reiterating how much you want the job (assuming, that is, that you liked what you heard).

I conduct interviews with a fellow colleague, and we always appreciate a thank you note or e-mail. Keep it short and sweet, and if you really want the job, say so. One note received said something to the effect that the interview reaffirmed their interest in the position. We also like it when they say something about how they enjoyed meeting us and that they would enjoy working with us. Because we work so closely and for long hours, it's important that we all get along and like each other on a personal level.

Honestly, it doesn't sway our decision, but if it was from one of the top candidates, it helps to reaffirm that we probably made a good choice. We also let our bosses know when we get thank yous since they do second interviews.

Good luck!

Actually, a follow-up note (e-mail) was how I was selected for my job over another candidate. Good luck!!

Always follow up - even if you meet with the same person again - follow up that time as well.

Although - I was recently on a 3rd Interview - about two weeks ago! Sent a follow up and the guy responded saying - Thank you and we will be in touch shortly - HA - Two weeks later - still have heard nothing - Placed a call to their HR Department and left a message I would say last week. Hope yours is easier!!

GOOD LUCK!

Definitely send a follow up email. Pretty much to thank them for their time spent with you. Mention how you like the position and something about the workplace that you found interesting or enjoyed seeing. If you need help you can always google one. I found a few good ones that way. A follow up letter shows the company that you care about their time and that you want the job. It may not sway their position much but it lets the company know that you aren't just another face.

I got my first job out of college because of a thank you note. It pushed me ahead of the other candidates.

I would follow up. I did when I had my interview for my current job back in February. A quick note thanking him/her/them for their time meeting with you and to let them know that if they should have any questions and/or need any additonal information from you to not hesitate to contact you.

I think it's a classy touch to send a follow up - hey, I got my job. Hopefully you will get yours too!!

Good luck!
