Foie Gras

Does anyone know where I can eat Foie Gras while at Disney. I typically eat it 3-4 times a week when at home and I must know where I can get some while on vacation.

No where. Disney doesn't offer true foie gras due to its cruelty to animals. However, pate and terrine and such are served at Les chefs , brown derby lounge, bog, and CG possibly V&A also.

You can't. Disney has banned the use of foie gras by its restaurants. However, you can try the Swan/Dolphin, since they are not Disney-owned they do not have to live by the Disney ban. Bluezoo has had foie gras preparations on its menu at times.

Just had to chime in. I love me some fois gras (we affectionately call it foe-e grow-e in our house) but I can't fathom eating it 3-4 times a week. Don't think my cholesterol or wallet could take it ; ) mind I I ask where u live that u can find in enough places to eat it 3-4 times a week?

You do not need to be as extreme as PETA to believe the production of foie gras crosses the line. Personally, I commend Disney for taking the position they have on this issue.

Ditto this! I will never understand anyone who justifies cruelty in any way.

I was so happy that they took this off the menus. It's so awful and cruel to the ducks and geese.Also I don't eat any meat. Just can't eat any animals.

How is banning an items where an animal is forcibly fed via a tube in their throat to to make them swell bowing to political correctness? I'd just say it's being aware that there are nicer alternatives.
I wish they'd ban veal too.

Really, isn't killing any animal to eat it cruel? I'm sure most animals that end up food are not treated very nicely.

It is different in my opinion. Although I am vegetarian I think that at least killing an animal it's suffering ends.
I only allow my kids to eat free range meat and uk animal welfare standards are much higher than a lot of other countries.

I don't buy mass produced products, all meat, poultry, eggs and dairy I buy is from two local farms where the animals are very well taken care of.

Just because animals are treated cruelty for other reasons in no way justifies force feeding a duck until the point they get so sick they are vomiting all the time. Two wrongs don't make a right.

True but one doesn't negate the other. Cruelty is cruelty and none of it is ok with some of us.
