FM Radio Stations in the Parks and WDW ?

MY DD picked up a Lizze McGuire radio at the Disney Store.
Cute for about $6. Runs on 2 AAA batteries.
It does a seek for the strongest radio station. You can scan for other
strong radio stations, but no FM radio station #'s appear.
You can also control the volume loudness (thank you).

At home she picks up our local radio stations.

If she brings the radio (very pocket sized) to WDW - what radio stations
will she pick up at the Parks and resorts ?
Can she get Radio Disney ?
Another station which plays Disney themed music ?
Does WDW have their own radio station on FM ?


We have never tried a radio at WDW. We like the Micky wake up calls in the AM.

You should be able to get the Orlando stations.

I am not sure whether Radio Disney is still on the air or if so what hours it is on or whether it only makes tapes (nowadays, satellite digital feeds) for later broadcast on subscribing stations across the country. There was some talk of its being "axed".

Probably not the type of music you are looking for but for reference, 101.1, 105.9, and 106.7 are all local stations you should have no problem picking up in WDW.

I looked on the Radio Disney site, & Radio Disney in Orlando is 990 AM. Hope that helps!
