Any tips for keeping the $$$ of flying to WDW down? There are four of us on a very limited budget (3 under 18 and one parent). I'd be leaving from Pearson in Toronto. I hear it may be cheaper to go from the states though. HELP! :confused3 :confused3

I'm not sure where you live, however it would be a lot cheaper to fly out of Buffalo than Toronto. We are flying out of Buffalo in August, 2 adults and DS 14 and its just about 1/2 the price as it would be to fly out of Toronto. Look on line for Southwest airlines. They are usually non stop flights from Buffalo to Orlando and at a really good price. We are flying with US airways.

Go directly to www.southwest.com!

Sign up for DING!

It's about the only way you are going to fly cheap to Orlando!

There is also JetBlue, but it's usually not a directly flight.

There is AirTran too!

Good Luck!

Definitely worth the hour drive to Buffalo. You will be looking at least at 50% cheaper maybe better. SW has one direct in the morning and one direct in the evening most days.

With AirTran you will connect in Atlanta and JetBlue in NYC.

we never pay more than $160.00 canadian out of buffalo on southwest

round trip go to southwest.com sign up for ding or look for internet speci

We pay way less flying out of Seattle instead of Vancouver. By the way, what is DING? :confused3

Thanks. BTW, it's FOUR hours to Buffalo from Toronto.

Four hours? We live in Burlington and it's an hour and ten minutes. About 120km. From Mississauga I would add another 20 min. Not sure what you mean about 4 hours...

I was going to say the same thing it is just over 2 hours from London to Buffalo to the HSBC arena.

We're you meaning to say that it is 4 hours to Buffalo from where you are?

Basically, what has been posted here is correct. Southwest and Air Tran are the two airlines where you are most likely to get a low fare.

If you are closer to Buffalo - use Southwest - you can get direct flights. Air Tran from Buffalo usually connects in Atlanta - although I have heard that they have one direct flight on Saturday - but then again, Saturday fares are sometimes higher than weekday.

If you are closer to Detroit - use Ait Tran. They have one direct flight to Orlando each day. Southwest out of Detroit, you will have to have a layover in Nashville.

If you are closer to Detroit, check Air Tran - we got what we thought was a good rate of $69US per person each way ($138 US return). I HAVE seen it go as low as $49 US each way - we just missed one of those deals!
