Hi

I have never flown with jmc before, what are they like?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I went on a JMC package holiday with JMC flights and accommodation but it was to Turkey not US. This was in July 2001 and I have to say my experience was definitly negative. However, to be fair JMC were fairly new then and perhaps my experience was down to teething troubles. Our flights both ways were delayed but this could have been bad luck, and there were several other problems in resort. Let us know how you get on. I hope you get some +ive replies to prove me wrong. :(

Take my advise and find an independent travel agent. I visited one at the weekend and she made up a package (flights, car, villa) far cheaper than any of the major brochure prices. The flights were scheduled, with 3" more legroom. I haven't tried Travel City, but there are loads of favourable comments on this board.

Another negative response for JMC, SORRY we flew with them in 2001 to Florida, never again.

Hi
Thanks for the replies.

I was just quoted a fantastic price for flights flying direct from Newcastle to Sanford. Including fully inclusive car hire.
The flights were flying with jmc, 17th April for 2 weeks.

I have flown Airtours and Brittania, how would jmc compare to these??

I have tried Travel City and they can not come anywhere near the price I have been quoted.

Thanks again

Michelle,

it's 8 hours in a plane and then 2 weeks of wonderfullness (how's that for a word...)
personally, I think they are all as good or bad as each other, and if you want to fly direct from Newcastle then your choices are limited.
I would just go for it.

and... just how good were these prices ??? Not that I stand a hope in *** chance of convincing Phil we need one last holiday.

Flew with them 2 years ago into Sanford, but was in the premium seats. It was better than Britannia & the truly awful Airtours. The premium seats are the same as the Virgin & BA standard. I would say its fine.

Thanks

Bev, I know what you are saying;) You know us always on the look out for a bargain;)

SS, thanks for the positive feedback.

I am just pondering now wether to book or not, oh the decisions:D

Hi

I flew with JMC at Xmas to Cuba, so it was a slightly longer flight than Florida and it was great.

You've also got the advantage that the airline has now changed to being called Thomas Cook so all the furnishings on board will be brand spanking new.

In comparison to other charters, they've got a bit of a bad reputation, but apparently they offer favourable leg room etc.

A plane is a plane! I have flown with JMC and just about all the others as well both charter and schedule. If it meant the difference between going and not going I'd fly on the wings with a parachute! They are no frills, but OK.

I'm flying out with jmc/Thomas Cook on Thursday. Will report back soonest :teeth:

Michelle,
We flew with JMC to Portugal in October and I thought they were very good and would have no hesitation in using them again. I've had negative experiences with both Virgin and BA. It is just a means to an end, If it is really cheap -go for it!

Hi

I have flown with JMC or Thomas Cook as it is now called to Florida for the last two years, and found them to be reliable and efficient( up to now....touch wood........ )
I have to say that we always go in their premium cabin, as the extra leg room and priority check in is in my oppinion a big draw, and when booked this year was only £20 more than the economy price ::bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc
