Flying with fruit

Random question, I know - but I have never tried to take fruit through security and am wondering if anyone else has had any experience with it. I'm specifically thinking of bringing some grapes and and orange - will they take them from me at security?

Nope, you can bring fruit, I had a big bag of grapes, apple and orange when I flew in June and had no problem. I often will also freeze grapes and use them as an ice pack for other things I am bringing.
