I will be taking my own scooter to Disney in June rather than renting one there. As I am able to walk for quite a long distance, I am wondering if I would be better off to check the scooter or ride it up to the plane? And if I do take it to the gate with me, will I be given the scooter back in Orlando when we land, or will be it be brought to the resort with my luggage? Thanks for your help!

I would suggest gate checking as safer. If you check it at the counter it will sent sent on a conveyor belt and no telling what may happen to it.

If you gate check it, they will breing it right to the plae's door.

And the walk from some gates just to the inter-terminal tram can be very long.

We just went to Disney. I took my scooter. My daughter took her Convaid Cruiser. It's just so expensive to rent them so we took our own. They brought the chairs right to the plane's door.

I gate checked my scooter last July and will be doing the same this June. For me, it is the only way. I could not walk such a long distance. I had no problems last year and I'm really hoping there are no problems this year!
