We're leaving next Saturday for Disney, and we decided not to pay for the crib rental at our resort (ASMo). The plan is to put our Pack 'N Play through as checked luggage, but I was wondering if anyone had problems with damage or has any tips for getting it on and off the plane safely.

I called Delta and the customer service rep (who was VERY VERY helpful) recommended wrapping it in bubble wrap and putting it in a garbage bag (?). Has anyone done this/heard of this.

I would appreciate any seasoned advice. Thanks!!!

There is no charge for renting a crib / pack & play at Disney resorts. Call CRO back and ask them to modify your reservation that you request a pack & play or crib. I think most resorts have pack & plays.

HTH!

Thank you Tricia!! I appreciate your help...we were not aware that cribs were free.

We've flown several times with ours, and have never packed it in anything other than the regular storage bag it comes in. We haven't had any problems and actually prefer bringing our own. Hope that helps! :)

We used a pack and play at Movies last year and it was fine. No charge, and they brought it up about 10 minutes after we called and asked for one.

Ditto, we asked for one at check-in, and it arrived almost instantly. Luckily we did bring our own sheet as the one provided had crumbs in it... (but it accidentally ended up in my suitcase. No charge for that either)
But I have flown several times with Pack N Plays, and not had a problem, just wrapped them in thier regular carry bag and checked them. I also pack them with the sheet, blanket, and one or two small stuffed animals, so that stuff doesn't take up room in our other luggage, and we don't have to dig it out if we arrive around naptime!
Hope this was helpful!

Thank you all very much!! I appreciate all the tips. I did take people's advice, and I called CRO to ask for a crib (and yes, no charge...thanks!). My DH and I are so grateful that we don't have to lug it throughout our trip! Thanks again, this forum has been a huge help for us (up until now, I've been a "lurker").
