I'm taking a random weekend trip in September with a friend of mine to the LA area.

I would absolutely positively love to tour the Walt Disney Studios. She keeps reminding me we'll only be in town two full days.
Anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to sway her to at least GO to the Studios? Even if we can't take a tour (no idea how long that might take :confused3 ) I would love to just.. GO!

How can I convince her?

I'm going to take another studio tour in September and I've done some reading on the Walt Disney Studios but can't seem to find any information tour wise, but i imagine you'll have time to at least drive by and takes some photos.
Good Luck!!!

They do not do public tours of the studio, but if you want you can drive by to see the building itself. It is pretty close to the Airport so it won't take that much time out of your trip.

If you ware to do a studio tour I highly suggest Warner Bro's - I loved that tour!

I'm scheduled to take that tour in September but was debating on whether or not the price of admission was worth it. Can you give me any more details??

:thanks:

The studio doesn't do tours but you can drive by and see the main entrance and the Michael Eisner building (which has the seven dwarfs holding up the roof).

I've heard that the Warner Bros. tour is good. And there is always the Universal Studios tour which does go onto the Universal lot.

There are several studios here in Burbank - Disney, ABC, NBC, Warner Bros. and Universal just a few minutes away. Lots to see!

I wondered why I couldn't find any info!

I'm excited. I can definitely get her to drive by and let me snap some pictures!

Thanks everybody.

Other than that we plan to go to the beach (We were thinking Santa Monica) for at least a few hours, explore Hollywood.. I'm pumped :)

It is a two or three hour tour and it takes you to the back lot of the studio. They have a museum filled with Harry Potter costumes and then another floor of other Movie costumes. We saw people working on sets. Painting backgrounds and picking up furniture at the set design place.

Actual actors "on break" from shooting (the one time in LA I actually saw a star)

They took us on the set of the Gilmore Girls.

It was really cool and IMO well worth the price.

Have fun on your trip!
