Flying out tomorrow

I had to move my vacation a week but I head out tomorrow for another try. Almost done repacking and I'll be at OKW for 10 days. Can't wait!!

It's going to be very different down there. I almost always go in the off season but from all that I've read on the boards the last few days, it sounds like it will be even more quiet than I'm used to. I still plan on having a great time but I think that will be a little sad.

I won't be able to take a laptop with me so I'll have to get by DQ Internet Cafe often to check in. I normally take one with me but with all the security, I just didn't want to fool with it.

There are bunches of DISers down there right now, Bob. I know Dan Murphy and Ray Sharpton are both there. If it's too quiet, just look them up. Actually, just look for the tall guy with the camera. That will be Dan.

Seriously, shoot me an e if you want. I can probably find Dan for you.

I'm hoping to meet both of them. I've got two meals planned on Saturday with several DIS'ers. I know that I'll see Ray at the evening meal and I believe that Dan will be there as well. I was in touch with Ray before he left. We will both be at OKW. I know it will be a great trip. If I don't see Dan on Saturday, I'll probably take you up on that offer.

Trust me, leaving your laptop will be the best thing you ever did.

I am so completely burned out. I can't wait until I go in Nov/Dec. I can never take more than a day OFF at time or the offices fall apart. As a matter of fact, I got called in on Wednesday to fix our Little Rock office e-mail system. Had to work all afternoon to figure out the problem. Turns out some idiot over there unplugged the ISDN LAN line (oh, THAT'S what that box does, oops!). Blew half a day vacation. Brought my son in with me and he was so disappointed, it was supposed to be "our" day. At least they gave me the whole day back, but this is the third time this year I have been called in while taking a vacation day.

I told my company about my WDW vacation plans back in May. Told them I didn't care if the offices burn down while I was gone, I was going to be unavailable. I am going completely "wireless" (well, except for my bra) . They want to know what they are going to do. I told them I didn't know, but they had 6 months to plan for it.

8 years and I have never taken more than two days off in a row! I can't wait!!
