Been to the Fort before but this particular situation is a new one for me. I am heading for my first solo trip to WDW in a few weeks, and will be flying in so will be checking a bag with all my camping gear, my carryon will have my clothes etc. I have planned for day one to be mainly camp setup and won’t be cooking at my site. I’ll be using a tent I am familIar with and that I can easily set up and break down by myself. Looking for tips from those who have done this before - Checklists and advice are most definitely welcome. Want to be prepared but don’t want to overpack, trying to keep things as light as possible.

Initial thought: Extension cords and some sort of fan. You could purchase these things once you get there instead of trying to pack them.
have fun!

Thanks for responding! My family and I have Tent camped at the fort in May before so we are familiar with the weather humidity and heat etc. Living in Texas where it’s 100° Or more for several months out of the year we have camped in heat and know how to navigate parks in the heat as well. Luckily I am one of those people who is very heat and humidity tolerant. (My husband not so much but he won’t be going for this adventure)

I guess my biggest concern is actually rain storms and packing as light as possible. I want to make sure my tent is secure and rain proof as I will not have a car to store my items in if we are expecting bad weather. Hoping someone here has flown in with camping gear before so they can let me know what they are tips are for packing light but still being as prepared and comfortable as possible. Also anyone who has arrived via magical express with their camp gear and can give me an idea of check in process and navigation to the site with all my stuff would be super helpful.

Do you know where I could buy a fan upon arrival? Pre-COVID I would have scheduled a Prime delivery but not sure if that’s a thing right now.
