We will be flying in in March with 5 adults and 2 kids. I know that Mears has a shuttle to get from the airport to BCV, but what's the best arrangement to get food from a local grocery. We thought about renting a small car on the day we arrive to get to the store as well as to haul some of the larger luggage.
Does anyone have a better idea? Also what are the best deals for rental cars in the area? The last time we got a rental in Orlando it cost almost $400 for 5 days. This seems steep. We would have to pick up the car and then return it to the same site, so that would involve getting back and forth as well. Any ideas?

I believe that National/Alamo cars can be dropped off at the Disney Car Care Center. That we reduce some of the problem. As for the rates... yeah they are high...maybe someone has a good discount code.:)

I would do the towne care service and get a van. That would fit everyone and most services will do a free grocery stop. It's nice to have them meet a person at baggage claim (with your name on a sign :teeth: ) and help with the bags.

I'm going in March also, BCV.
The Mears shuttle is going to cost you $25/ per person x 7=$175,
I got a full size car rental from Dollar Rental for about $175 for the whole week.
Try calling MS they usually come up with some pretty good rates for rental cars, that's how I got mine.
