We can get a 7:20 ressie for FF, but can we get back to Epcot in time to view Illuminations? That night is our only opportunity for the show and the best night for FF. If we show up say 6:30 or so, do you think they will get a table for us any earlier? We can drive our rental or bus/boat over...which is the fastest? Thanks!

Though your ressie is at 7:20, there's no guarantee you'll be seated at that exact time. Even if you were, you would still be rushed and not able to enjoy your dinner as you should at FF. I would recommend getting there early as you mentioned and hopefully they can seat you earlier.

Take a boat or walk to Epcot International Gateway. You'll already be in WS to find a spot for Illuminations. It would take you much longer to walk to your car, drive to Epcot entrance, park, then walk through FW to get to the WS lagoon.

Flying Fish does not have speedy service and the place is usually packed (if you can't get an earlier reservation, I'm assuming that it will be busy the night you are there). I would not count on being able to get out of there in time to make it into Epcot for Illuminations.
