I am sure for all of you seasoned foodies/signature dining veterans, this is a tough choice.

We have never tried either as we do have our fave signatures (Narcoosee's/Citricos) and DH wants one more signature for our vacation (we currently have Artist Point and CRT). We are on the DXDP.

So, which would you choose? Our other meals include:
Boatright's (even with the mixed reviews)
Mama Melrose's (FDP)
Crystal Palace (bfast)
Via Napoli (although we might change this to Tutto or Chefs de France)
Tusker House (bfast)
'Ohana (dinner)

Looking forward to your opinions and experiences. Thank you! ;)

I'd go with FF over Yachtsman, but it's a pretty close race. They are both very good, so you can't really go wrong whichever one you pick.

I would also vote FF. It is our favorite hands down. That said you can't go wrong with either.

I would pick Flying Fish. Everything we ate there was delicious. We just aren't as impressed with Yachtsmanns.

I'd also lean strongly toward FF. Yachtsman has some very good steak, but FF also puts out a good steak and has the bevy of seafood choices. Also, I like the service at FF better.

Flying Fish by a long shot.

UNLESS--you want a steak choice other than the excellent NY Strip at FF.
It's great, but the only cut they offer.

Not a tough choice at all.... Flying Fish... no contest. Flying Fish, for us, ties Citricos as #1 on our list of Signatures (not counting V&A's, Shula's and bluezoo), while YS is pretty low on our list.

Very difficult choice. We love YSH and enjoy their steaks. We recently ate at FF and I had the steak there while my wife had the snapper. We both enjoyed our meals, but I will say that I liked the YSH steak better than FF.

I think the OP should make their decision based on what they see on the menus since individual tastes are different. There's really no bad choice between the two.

Both are very good restaurants. We don't go to Yachtsman for the steaks, but we still prefer Yachtsman over Flying Fish. If you don't order the typical "meat and potatoes" entrees, you'll find that a lot of Yachtsman's food is very creative. Here's my most recent Yachtsman review.

Overall, Yachtsman is my second favorite Disney restaurant (behind Artist Point), and over the past year I've noticed some exciting improvements to the menu at Yachtsman.

I never tried Flying Fish but me and my fiance did try Yachtsman's this past February and loved it. I chose the place since she is not a seafood person, and both of us ended up telling each other our steaks were some of the best we ever had.

Well, I did read the menus and several reviews and decided on Flying Fish. My DH isn't the biggest fan of steak and would much rather have a well-prepared seafood dish.

Thanks for all of the input!!!

I would go with Yachtsman if you want a more upscale feel. There are areas of FF that feel very cafeteria like...so no promises on atmosphere there. Also, I have found the service at FF hit or miss. I am surprised how many here chose it over YSH.

Me too - I prefer seafood over steak, but I still think Yachtsman is the better restaurant.

Wish I could compare FF with YS but no one in my group will eat anything that comes from water* We've had some wonderful meals at YS, but I think it may have declined over the years.

We have dined at Via Napoli and the pizza is really good if you like the super-thin crust. Of course this is not a deluxe dining experience, more like a pizzeria. It''s a cool looking place, but not luxurious in any way. Also the noise level is just slightly less than an AC/DC concert;)

*Except DW who will eat duck

Flying Fish is our favorite, a must do x2 on each trip! :goodvibes

I will say that I was not overly impressed with AP, but maybe it was just a rough night for them....
