so for those who have recently flown is eating allowed on shorter flights (less than 3 hours) and can you still bring your own food like a sandwich?
obviously you would need to remove your mask to eat and drink? thanks

I was on a Delta flight in January. As soon as we were in the air, the Flight Attendants were handing out snack bags. I think they had the cookies, goldfish and water.

On a flight home, we didn't have enough time to eat at the airport, so grabbed food to go and boarded the plane and ate no problem.

It's dumb things like this that make me angry that families get kicked off planes for the little ones not wearing a mask when they're already seated. No consistency.

I've flown Southwest, Spirit, Frontier, and Jetblue - no issue with eating on any of them. Southwest and Jetblue still hand out snacks. All just reminded people repeatedly to keep your mask on when not eating or drinking.

Delta, most of the time makes gate area announcements reminding you that little to no food is served on board and that you may bring your own.

It's all about what your comfort level is. Personally I did not eat anything on the plane, I ate while waiting at the gate where I could have some space between me and the people around me. I did take my mask down for about 30 seconds total to take a few drinks. My wife did not take her mask down at all and just didn't eat or drink anything from the time we lined up to board until we got our baggage.

We ate lunch with food we brought on our recent flight, and they also handed out snacks and drinks.

Our flight is always a short, two hour flight. We always, even prior to Covid, ate at the airport because I really hate eating on the plane. I usually don’t even eat the snack they give you. As for drinks, I stick to water and I can drink that by lowering my mask when I need to take a sip.
