I’d assume after that long plane ride, you’d be happy to settle into the room and grab a celebratory cocktail to start the trip off on the right foot!

i forget if you are all in @ one property (CB right? ) or splitting the trip.

PS nice crowd here, no real shade to CB or those who love it there, it has served the purpose for us many times on bonus trips, especially during HHN when all we do is the event.

Yes, CBay has it`s fans and many do love it, it`s ideal they have plenty of choices for us all, I remember you having a couple of stays there.

Yup, definitely a small drink, and try to stay awake till at least 10pm, maybe 9.30 if we`re lucky! RP for a week, then over to Sapphire for the rest of the trip, best of both worlds

Been working with my eye doctor yesterday and again tonight

I am working with a specialist doctor for improving my vision

Issues I went thru last year was a sign to me that one eye can’t read

so far it is an unknown but it will all be solved soon i am told

That`s good to hear mac, you have had a long haul with the eye issue, fingers crossed it`s fixed soon.

I do lose count this time of year how many friends just drop by and just happen to have a "little" list of things that maybe I could pick up if we happen to see them, and there`s always a little comment of well, it doesn`t matter if you can`t get them while giving me the puppy dog eyes!!! Every trip, I should be insulted they think I don`t know what they`re doing, but think that ship sailed a long time ago!! Love them really and happily pick up most of what they want as the list is usually pretty standard stuff.

Except the one (she knows who she is ) who appeared this morning with her list full of apologies for being late.......

Hmmm. She has an excuse as to why she needs every item on it....if I can of course pretty please......lol.....meanwhile Tom is sitting pretending not to listen with a knowing smile on his face, he knows them as well as I do.

So, I tell her we`ll get what we can although I do see a few items I won`t be looking for unless I come across them. Most items are easy, Tide Pens are top of the list along with Bath & Body, even though we can get that stuff in the UK, Yankee Candle usually the scents that haven`t reached us yet, I do however limit how many of those we bring back as they are darn heavy and some bits and bobs from some other places.

But, I think we are more or less sorted now, suitcases are actually down from the attic which is quite early for us, we won`t be putting anything in them till tomorrow evening after Kyle goes home, but they`re down.

Now negotiations have started as to whether we take three large suitcases and two hand luggage bags or four suitcases and one hand luggage as I`m pretty sure I can fit in what I need to Tom`s hand luggage and manage with a handbag!!!

One of my lovely friends has set me a challenge again for this trip which I will think about to take a lot less clothes than I planned and she will make a donation to charity...I laughed......

She was indeed serious and made me a similar challenge last trip, I suppose it would save on the suitcases but not sure I could manage that!! Funny thing is I usually take a load of clothes I don`t wear as like most folks, we have our old favourites, but it`s nice to have them there.

This year however, I may shop for a particular occasion as I need something special

My best friend, well one of them, passed away in 2016 and one of her kids is getting married in November, formal wedding with less formal evening reception, we were thrilled to see the invite. I might look in some of the stores over there to see if I can find something a little different, I do have a back up plan if I can`t find something there, but will have a look.

Tomorrow is the old hair appointment, I don`t usually leave it as late, but my new stylist was away for a week with her mum who is just the nicest lady you could meet, they both are actually, so tomorrow was her first day back, earlyish appointment there then we meet Kyle to pick up his latest new car from the dealership. We have the dentist after that then Kyle is coming for dinner, I think Chinese Take out, then when he goes home (still find it strange saying that) we`ll get packed up.

I think our biggest issue is the gifts we have for folks, sooooo much British chocolate everyone loves so much and some very sweet Scottish treats too which would make your dentist squirm if he saw you eat them!! But they are delicious. And some Scottish rum too, so all that together probably makes up one suitcase alone, so maybe we should go for the four suitcases.......????

Yes, decided to go for four suitcases, why not, with Premium we can have two 50lb cases each and a 22lb hand luggage bag each as well as a personal item like a handbag or laptop bag, not too shabby at all.

Last Harry Potter movie tonight, glass of wine and busy day tomorrow and evening. I don`t think we have anything else to plan now, we have some new restaurants to try, some folks to meet with and hopefully come up with somewhere new to drive to.

Park time of course and some evening resort time as we won`t be attending horror nights, a few folks have been surprised by that, but many agree with us, but I simply think we`re just bored with it now overall.

I will be popping in now and again I`m sure, we have plenty of time to chill out while we`re in Orlando and we plan to do so for sure as we have never been park commando type people, but we are ready for some fun!!!!

Yep, if it hadn`t been for you I`d never have heard of them and I have many grateful folks who love them! My nephew`s wife in particular loves them, so going to pop a pack into her christmas gifts this year as a kind of joke gift, but she`ll love them lol....

It`s one of those....IYKYK!!!

I laughed when I read that you might only take 3 suitcases, LOL. I knew you would change that to the 4 suitcases. I always take "just because I might need them" clothes, but usually just wear my old favorites. I also take 3 pairs of shoes and houseshoes for the room. We get by with 2 suitcases and a large beach bag type bag for carryon with my extra large purse. I just can't seem to leave behind any clothes that I "just might need".

I have never used a Tide Pen before and am astonished that a lot of people over there want them? I told Roger that it was the #1 item your friends asked for. He made a surprised face and said Why? So I told him that you can't get anything like over there and it makes sense.

I hope you find something nice over here for your deceased best friends kids wedding. I don't know what she likes, but hand made or home made items are very nice. I know you will have fun looking

I haven't counted the days til our trip, but I'm sure Randy has, LOL.

Well, surprise surprise.....we packed, including all the chocolate and rum for folks and managed with three suitcases after all and.....with room to spare!!

I know I have packed clothes I may not wear, but like you, I`d rather have something and not wear it than not have it at all!!

Tide pens are not sold over here, it`s just not a thing, but for folks that may occasionally dribble their food (they know who they are ) they are a godsend!!

It`s actually their son that`s getting married, he`s the middle one between two sisters, and they bought a house together about three years ago, so money will probably be their choice of gift and something personal maybe, but happy for them. I will look for something to wear but not the end of the world if I don`t see anything.

Your trip will be here before you know it, it`ll be lovely visiting with your son.

Well, we had a nice sunny drive up to Manchester Airport, beautiful day but chilly, arrived 3 hours before official check in time but as we are tiered members we got our room and upgraded to a runway view room, not bad but we do have the lounge with same view. Not everyone’s idea of a view, but if you like airports and aircraft it’s ideal.

YAY!!!!! So exciting!!!!! That lounge looks so inviting.

I've been hinting at dh that I might want to buy an extra suitcase on the way home - to bring home Bugels ( a snack) that we can not get anymore here...and people use them in their nuts and bolts for xmas snacking treats. I would sell them and make a killing enough to pay for the $$$ for extra luggage as well as the suitcase.

Have a safe flight
