Well, best price for now in on Delta (actual carrier is Freedom airlines). They use a Embraer RJ145 plane which appears to be a small jet type plane that seats about 50. The flight is 2.5 hours. Would this type of plane be of concern at all? Could we still gate check a double stroller? We are flying with a 3 and 5 year old. Do you get more air sickness on smaller planes? Help, I'm clueless.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe most all carry on itmes are gate checked with the Embraer RJ145. The overhead and underseat storage isn't very large. Gate checking a double stroller shouldn't be a problem. Its been a couple of years since I've flown one though, and my memory could be faulty.

I fly on this jet very often and actually like it. It is very oval shaped and has a very comfortable single seat on one side and doubles on the other. They seem to be higher back and soft leather on Continental....not sure of yours though. Regardless, they are fast planes that seem to operate very smooth. My usual trip on it is around 2 hours so it shouldn't be toooo bad for you.

Thanks. I also just saw the earlier thread w. a lot of support for these planes. It makes the decision easier.

Yep - not a problem! To me the ERJ's are more comfortable that the CRJ's but both are great. I think you'll be thrilled with the extra attention you'll likely get from the flight attendants.

I love ERJ's landins are so smooth. I prefer them to the bigger planes. I can now fly South Bend to Altanta , Atl to Naples. it is the way to go for me.

the ERJ's are okay. I don't fly CRJs unless they are my only option---I find them uncomfortable.
