Hi Anita

I'm with you Kelli, only I think rotting in jail is too good for him or anyone who does that kind of thing. I think he should have a dog turned on him. These people who do this kind of things are the animals. I'm sorry but that really makes my blood boil :furious:

I have the instructions to make that one. :thumbsup2

I'm looking at Two Peas right now, such good ideas! The ebay seller now is selling the blank paper bag albums in lots of four, I'm going to buy some but I can't decide if I want white or the regular brown, three holes, or five holes.

This is an e-mail my Friend received. I am sure she would be okay with me posting it. I highlighted the part that makes me the most sick and sad. He better not get away with this. I hope all the contracts he has to rake in his millions drop him like a ton of bricks. And I can't express how I really feel because everything will end up filtered.

Dear .........

Late yesterday, a federal grand jury indicted NFL star quarterback Michael Vick and three cohorts on felony dogfighting charges. It’s the latest disturbing news in a case that The Humane Society of the United States has assisted with since the alleged cruelties came to light in Virginia last April.
I hope you will take action today to urge the NFL to suspend Michael Vick indefinitely.

The abuses described in the 19-page indictment are almost beyond belief:
In or about March of 2003, PEACE [one of Vick’s co-defendants], after consulting with VICK about the losing female pit bull's condition, executed the losing dog by wetting the dog down with water and electrocuting the animal.

In or about April 2007, PEACE, PHILLIPS, and VICK executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in "testing" sessions...by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground."

The NFL expressed “disappointment” and said yesterday that “we believe that all concerned should allow the legal process to determine the facts.”

Well, that’s just not good enough. These acts were not petty or harmless; they were nothing short of gruesome and barbaric. And there is precedent for a suspension: Other NFL players, such as Pacman Jones and Chris Henry, have been suspended while they awaited trial and before they were convicted. Please contact the NFL today and urge the league to suspend Michael Vick.

For details about the case and The HSUS’s role in assisting federal prosecutors with the investigation and the care of 52 pit bulls taken from Vick’s property, click here. And if you are able, please make a special donation today to help us care for those animals while the case is being pursued by federal authorities.

Thank you for all you do for animals.
Sincerely,

Wayne Pacelle

My Mom has 2 pitbulls that she rescued, they are very very sweet dogs but she had trouble training them, she found a guy that actually comes to the house and trains them, so far so good :thumbsup2

Poor dogs are just a product of what man makes them. Stupid people ruin good animals with abuse.

I am glad that your Mom has taken the time with these dogs.

I hope Vick rots, but he probably won't. Right now, there is a guy playing for the Rams that was involved with a drunk driving fatality. So even if Vick ends up going to jail (which I wonder if it will happen), he'll end up playing again.

I agree that people ruin these poor animals :guilty: when my Mom first got the first pitbull, he would just cower in the corner and wouldn't even go near her basement, I can only imagine what he went through

OMG, that just makes my skin crawl and my stomach turn.

He needs a little shock therapy himself

WHY????? Why is there a need for this type of thing??? That's what I want to know. I've watched the Animal Cop show on Animal Planet and every time they come across this type of thing they always say there are drugs linked to dog fighting, I hope they can dig deeper and find that to be the case here and send him away. This man does not deserve his millions, his contract, or his "fame". Unfortunately he has the money to buy him a good attorney and get away with all of this. What a shame :sad1:

How can he still be playing ? was he found innocent ??

The only thing we have going for us is that people don't forget when animals are involved. The Humane Society and PETA will continue to campaign against him. So there is some kind of hope. And he is involved in more than just the dog fighting.

That is how my Honey is. She must have been beat so bad. We have had her over 2 years and she cowers from DH at times. He will call her for a cookie and she comes slinking to him with her tail between her legs pratically crawling on the ground to him. And other times she comes right to him. And he has never even raised his voice to her. It upsets him when she does this. And trust me she is a lot better now than when we first got her.

Awwww :guilty: I could never understand how anyone could hurt an innocent animal, or child for that matter, it breaks my heart

Me either.

She is too funny when she is in the front yard and she will kinda howl bark. You can tell she is a happy dog.

The poor thing. Kudos to your Mom for rescuing them.

One of my step son's has had a pitbull from the time it was a puppy and it's the sweetest baby, his name is Brewski and all he wants to do is play and give kisses and he is way better behaved than my little stinker Jack Russell :rotfl:
