I hated the uniform thing. Well they got around it by calling it "Standardized dress). Certain color pants, shirts and they had to have collars. No jeans. So the kids had to have a set of clothes for school and another set for hanging out when before they could just wear their jeans and tee shirts.
Yeah, I think that's what it's called here. Standard Dress Code or something like that.

In CA the kids had to wear navy bottoms (pants, skirts, or shorts) and red, navy or white collared shirts. It was easy.
Although they did want other clothes for hanging out so maybe it did cost more but it makes mornings easier.

All of us on the trip >>

:rotfl: :rotfl: I like that one!!!!

Mike just left to go fisihing with his buddies, he won't be back until around lunchtime tomorrow.

So that means, I will really be tired, because I don't sleep well when he is not here.

But I am giving him the kids the second he walks in the door tomorrow.;)

Damn I didnt know I could have checked freeway closings for him ;) :teeth:

Well this is the last year for standarized dress for me. The school district we are in now does not have it.

Beth, do you think your stuff will get there this week??

Well I know what that's like. I barely sleep when Rubens' not home.

We need to go somewhere to get away from the rain, It rained twice today and both times really hard

I hope it doesnt rain tomorrow.
I hope not too. Give you guys a freakin break already!

The girl only eats pancakes for breakfast, no butter, just syrup.

But she is one of our friends daughters, the girls have known each other since birth and she is really sweet. Plus they let Jonathan play with them.

That's nice. I always have a hard time with the twins because they want to play with Noelle and her friends who of course just want to be left alone.

It's being picked up from MI on the 8th. Then it takes anywhere from 5-9 days to arrive so I'm hoping around the 13th we'll have it all here.

"Camping out" is getting old. lol

I dont sleep well if David isnt here either. After my divorce and the weekends Michael and Matthew went to their dads, when I was all alone in house I dont think my eyes closed for more than a 5 minute stretch. I hated it.

I bet it is getting old. Hopefully it will get there quickly!:wizard:

That sucks. I can sleep as long as he's home. He can be in the other room watching tv or whatever and I can fall asleep as long as I know he's home.

Otherwise forget it, I'm up most of the night.

Yep, that is how I am.

When Mike and I got married he was gone for 3-6 months at a time when he was in the Navy, but we lived on base, so I didn't get that scared.

Yeah, the last time we moved we loaded the moving truck one day and set out for MI the next. It took us about 6 days to drive it last time and the stuff arrived one day after we did. The timing was perfect.

This time it wasn't as easy to plan since we didn't have a place to stay once we moved. Then when I called once we moved in, we had to work with their schedule.

Oh well, maybe this will make them appreciate their stuff more, lol.

Damn the dis running so slow. took forever for that last post to post
Yeah same here. I thought it was this computer.

I don't know how those military wives do it. Especially now with their husbands sometimes being gone for a year or more at a time. :sad2:

And then sometimes both the husband and wife are sent off and the kids don't have either parent at home. That's so sad.

I don't know how they do it either. They deserve a lot of credit.

He got out after we were married a little over a year. So I wasn't a military wife for long and I didn't have kids.

Yeah, we won't be one of those families who gives up tv for 2 weeks and then realizes they don't need it. We'll be counting the days till it arrives and probably unpack that and the computer first. :rotfl:

That is sad. I couldnt go off and leave my kids for a year or two especially if David was gone too. I cant imagine how hard that is for them.
