If you could choose any resort owned by WDW, where would you stay for the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival? Please vote and in a post, answer the reason(s) why.
I would stay at the resort I liked the best anyway because the resorts don't do anything special. It's just Epcot. That being said, we loved POR & during the spring & early summer it's very pretty. Well it's really pretty anytime, but the wildflowers, trees, & different shrubs will be in bloom. Por is pretty darn close to Epcot too if that's an issue. Yup, that's my vote!
Like the previous poster said, the Flower and Garden Festival is only at Epcot. The other parks and the resorts aren't really effected by it.
That being said, I would go with a moderate resort. We have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort two times and loved it both times. It is very close to Epcot and the bus service was efficient too.
The theming of the CBR is wonderful. Lots of tropical foliage, rooms are larger than other moderates, white sandy beaches, nice food court, marina and lots more.
Since the festival is at Epcot, I would stay at BC mainly for the convenience to the International Gateway. BC also has many other awesome aspects such as proximity to MGM, the BW entertainment and restaurants, SAB, Cape May CAfe character breakfast (yum!!), closeness to YC Galley at YC, Beaches and Cream, gelato at the Marketplace, and most of all, Art! Makes me want to go back there just thinking about it!!!
I love going during the Flower and Garden Festival, as well as the Food and Wine Festival in the fall. If you plan to spend a lot of time at Epcot, then I would choose an Epcot resort. My preference is for the Epcot resort area yearround, so I usually stay at the Swan or Dolphin.

Is your primary objective the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot? If so, then I'd surely say to stay at an Epcot resort. I choose BC. It is the closest resort to Epcot. We love the beachy, light, family atmosphere at BC. We love the character breakfast there, the sandy-bottom pool, Beaches & Cream for ice cream treats, walking to the Boardwalk, renting surrey bikes to ride around the lake, walking to Epcot each night for dinner and watching Illuminations and then walking back "home," walking or boating to MGM, movies on the beach, and the list goes on, I'm sure.
If you were going to WDW for the Flower & Garden Festival, you would probably enjoy the Polynesian. The grounds are lushly landscaped and feature a variety of flowers. The resort is a short walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center where you could board the Monorail to Epcot.
The Epcot resorts (Beach/Yacht Club and Boardwalk Inn) are quite nice and convenient, but their landscaping is nowhere near as impressive as the landscaping at the Poly.
