my family was thinking about going to disney world April 24 to may 2. 2010.

we usually go in september but i really want to go see The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

Has anyone gone at this time to see the flower and garden. Was good or not? or has anyone gone to see it at a better time.

We've been going then for many years and really enjoy the Flower & Garden festival. The park is decorated so nicely that you will be taking a lot of pictures. You'll also get a lot of good ideas for landscaping around your house.

Flower and Garden is fun, but I MUCH prefer Food and Wine. I always feel a little disappointed in Flower and Garden, like "that's it??" but if you're into gardening then definitely go.

but honestly by accident. It's not something I would base my trip on, same with the Food and Wine thing. It's not something that excites us and we prefer to really slow or slack season to avoid the lines and crowds.

That is exactly the way that I feel-only the other way around. I love the Flower and Garden Festival and can take or leave the Food and Wine. I am not into wine at all and don't really care about trying the food either. Just depends on what you are interested in I guess.

I have been to the Flower & Garden Festival the beginning of May and it is beautiful-I think its a great time to go. The weather is nice but not alot of crowds yet. Make sure you pick up a map of all the festival areas and events when you get to Epcot.:flower3:

We were there 4/25 - 5/1 this year and stopped by the F&G festival at Epcot. It was very nice, but like OP said, not something we would plan our vacation around. One really good thing is that the parks were less crowded, so I would recommend checking it out if your interested.

We have gone to the Flower and garden festival 2 times and loved it. I think everyone should experience the beauty at least once.

I went by myself April 29 thru May 3rd, 2009. The weather was beautiful and Epcot was amazing. I really enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival. I took tons of pictures which I normally don't get to do because the family isn't patient enough. For this shot, I waited 20 minutes for a monorail.

I've been twice to the flower and garden show and loved it. There's flowers topiary's all over the park they also give talks on gardening. I loved it. I will suggest checking to see when disney host the high school senior weekend because even though the spring is less crowded that weekend is very pack
I did make that mistake once.:cheer2:

We love Flower & Garden. All the incredible arrangements & flowers, even up the small pathways like to the left of Mexico Pavilion had special flowers one year. The themed topiaries are our favorites though plus the specialty merchandise is worth it alone. My yard has never looked better because of it.

If you are into gardening, that I would go. I love to garden and it was sooo much fun to look at all the topiaries. I did a few of the seminars, and that was fun. They have some of the employees at WDW and Epcot talk about some of their areas of specialities. That was fun to do. the backdrop for pictures is incredible.

I also really enjoy the FW. I'm into the food more than the wine. We usually save our snack credits and use it for the FW.

We have gone during the Flower and Garden festival but it was a coincidence-
It was beautiful and the topiaries are amazing! I remember there being some demos in Epcot about landscaping etc, none of which we went to. Im at WDW not Home Depot ;)
The event doesnt draw the crowds other events do, and the park is less crowded that time of year anyway, so that would be my reasoning for choosing that time. Im sure you would not be disappointed whichever reason you choose
