I searched but didn’t see a thread re experiences at this year’s F&G festival. We will be there on Monday and that’s our meal plan for the day-what you tried and loved? Anything to avoid?

I just went last Tuesday and I am excited to share some tips!

Germany - pretzel bread with ham and gruyere was pretty good
Farmers Feast - vegetable bruschetta was amazing - one of our favorites
Flavor Full Kitchen - I thought corn on cob was just ok. Husband loved it
Hanami - beef tataki was great but thought the flavor was lost if you ate the radish with the beef.
Honey Bistro - liked the lavender chicken flatbread. I was so excited to try the cheesecake but something didn't taste right. It was too sweet and heavy on the honey taste.
Pineapple promenade - desert violet lemonade was amazing!
Tangerine cafe - worth the wait. The harissa chicken kebab was my favorite item.
Trowel & trellis - my husband liked the short rib; I didn't. I felt it was dry and the "short rib" was too fake for me.

Our faves were:
France: Croissant stuffed with goat cheese
Sunshine Griddle (by Test Track): fried cinnamon roll bites with bacon bits
Honey Bistro: chicken flatbread
YUM!

We loved the violet lemonade last year, and my daughter is craving a dish that was shrimp grilled on sugar cane skewers-not sure I see that this year?

Just back last night from F&G. My favorite was the strawberry rhubarb upside down cake (near Test Track). DH's favorite was the Avocado Toast (part of the Garden Graze). We were both disappointed in the Tres Leche Cake, which was also part of the Garden Graze, between France and Morocco. We live in "Tres Leches Cake" country. DH had tres Leches cake for his birthday once-it's very common, but this one was dry, and had no Leches flavor nor coconut. Grilled baby vegetables (Trowel and Trelis) were very good, not outstanding. For outstanding, go for the Local Wildflower Honey-Marscapone Cheesecake at Honey Bee-stro.

I liked the Honey Cheesecake also.

The flatbread was filling but I thought the flavor was kinda bland.

The mole enchilada was probably my favorite entree - spicy chocolate is a little odd but it worked for me - wish the portion was a little larger.

The avocado toast was very good also.

The shrimp in the shrimp and grits were kinda small but the flavor was excellent.

I also liked the verlasso salmon.

The Canadian booth was a surprise disappointment. The tips were tough - one was completely inedible - and I tried the scallops twice - the second time was good but not as good as usual. YMMV. (I thought the Canadian booth was still the best smelling booth from the outside, though.)

I agree that the shrimp & grits were very good, but we had the scallops last week, and they were excellent - crispy outside and tender inside; vegetables weren’t overdone and mushy. Disney tends to disappoint me with food quite a bit, but they surprisingly know how to cook a scallop.

Historically, I have loved every scallop dish at the Epcot booths. This time they just weren't as good in my case - but still not as bad as the tenderloin tips dish (although I'm sure most people got better pieces of meat than I did.)

Well, we went Monday afternoon and tried a few things-and they were fine. Nothing really outstanding-disappointing. All dishes shared by three of us.

Violet lemonade-a hit again this year!

Boneless Impossible Koran Short Ribs-fine. My BFF eats mainly plant based and was excited to try this but also thought it was ok. Good portion for the price. We didn’t finish.

Toasted pretzel-this was yummy and we all liked it. Cheese pretty congealed and we get something much better and bigger at a local bakery.

Honey spoon bread-good but I think not as good as last year. Really dense and had been sitting awhile.

Honey chicken flatbread-decent and really generous portion-couldn’t taste the honey or mustard.

My daughter was sooo sad they didn’t have the shrimp on sugar cane skewers this year.
