I am sooo glad I have more than a year to plan this cruise - but at my rate I will be done with everything I can do in about a week - BUT - I have a big question that will set our expectations at the right level and thereby leaving sufficient time to plan something else for St. Thomas.

As a public service announcement prior to asking the question I have to say a big thank you to everyone who provides their Navigators for perusal after they sail and to Deb and allearsnet.com for posting the Magical Cruise Guide

OK - here's the question:
My husband and I have been dreaming of the day we can get back to St. John and to Honeymoon Beach. BUT, according to the guides and Navigators, you may only do a few of the excursions, and none to St. John if you are going to use Flounder's Reef during shore excursions due to their hours.

Apparently they are open from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and then not again until 5:45 pm.

Is this true?

I looked at my Navigators and they were open from 7:00 am to 1:00 on St. Maarten day and 7:30 to 1:00 on St. Thomas day. The earlier opening time may let you sneak in some excursions. Also be sure to check when you get on the ship. The Shore Excursion folks will know which excursions are "Flounder's Friendly"

I think others have solved this problem by going as family groups where someone stays on the ship one day and someone else another day since you can designate people other than yourself to pick up your child in that situation.
