We have an 18 month old DD sailing with us at the end of this month. My question is has anyone ever had a problem reserving time in the nursery? I think I read somewhere that you are guarenteed three time slots, is this true?

We will be on the Magic for New Year's Eve and I guess I'm a little worried about getting her in for that specific evening.

Thanks!:)

I would suggest being at the Nursery as soon as they open on your departure date to reserve your time slots. Yes they guarentee 3 time spots but you can request more and if they can fit you in they will call and confirm you. We requested all 3 nights from 10:00pm til Midnight and had no problems. When you get on board you may want to walk by the nursery and check their hours. Our sheet that we received when we checked in said they started taking reservations at 1:30 but they actually opened at 1:00 and were taking reservations. Have fun.

Thanks, gshoemate! I will go check the hours as soon as I board the ship. Hopefully, I will be as fortunate as you were on your cruise.

When it comes time to sleep, do they have enough cribs for the little ones?

I took a quick peek in the crib room but didn't pay much attention. My little one has never slept in a crib so he fell asleep on mats in front of the TV. We had him there late at night and I think the most kids that were there was 3, including ours. So it might depend on what time your looking at using the nursery.

yes, they always have enough cribs for napping

There is a separate room for the cribs too...which is condusive to napping or sleeping. There is always a counsleor checking in on the nappers too.

We were on the 4-day wonder and had no problem reserving time. We had our son in there for three sessions - one during an excursion and twice for a short time at night. He was 9-months old at the time and I expected some anxiety, but he really loved all of the toys and other kids. (That can do some damage to a Mommy's ego:teeth: but Daddy was very happy to finally have some "date" time).

In case you were wondering, they do have small snacks (crackers, carton milk, etc.) that they can feed the kids. I brought my pump on board so that I could provide a bottle for ds, but they have no way of heating it.

HTH,

Amy
