Florist reccommendation in Calgary, AB and Carmen, MB please?

My best friends brother has passed away and I need to send flowers/gift baskets to Calgary, AB and Carmen, MB.

I tried www.ftd.com but anything I liked was not able to chip to Canada!! I actually found this really nice bird house but it doesn't ship to Canada.

Can anyone please reccommend a florist in either of these cities?

They are the only flower shop in town that I am aware of, and I find it always so much easier dealing with the shop direct rather then using a 'floral service'. This way you can send what you want.

I used to work as a florist in Manitoba (now full time mom). First, my condolences.

And, hate to say it, but just save yourself the crazy wire charge and call up the toll-free number in Carman (Winnipeg is too far to deliver for a good price) If the flowers are going to the home, you can ask for what's in season (like tulips, daffodils, other spring flowers) or whatever you like. Tell them it's for their home and you want it to last a long time (if that is the case, but keep in mind Spring flowers have a relatively short "vase" life). Over the years I've seen some shops hear "funeral arrangement" and they use flowers that aren't the freshest (since they are often left outside at the burial site). Just a little insider tip.
