Floridays Resort
OR the Marriott Lakeshore Reserve resort please?
Thanks

I'm not sure you saw it, but you did get some feedback on Lakeshore Reserve on your WBC or Lakeshore thread: https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...reserve-opinions-feedback-wanted-pls.3697770/

I have not stayed at either, but Lakeshore has been on my radar for a few years for a future stay. We're partial to Marriott in general. I don't know a thing about Floridays but I use tripadvisor a lot when trying to get opinions on various resorts. Might be a good idea to check reviews there.

I did post on the other thread.

I've driven by Floridays a million times and while I've looked at it online, I've never felt compelled to book. It, like WBC, is high rise buildings but instead of set back off in it's own property it is on the corner of two busy streets. Limited landscape/trees so most the views would be of the busy area. You also have good chance you have to travel through parking lots to get to pools, something I hate. I like at WBC all the amenities are enclosed in the lake front area. Lakeshore similarly seems to allow interior walking.

There is a ton of construction happening right now to Floriday's NW on all that land you see on google maps. Shopping centers, apartments, hotel areas. We just stayed "next door" a couple weeks ago at the Home2Suites and I couldn't believe all the active construction.

You are comparing to WBC and Lakeshore ... both more self contained and more insulated.

Hopefully someone can chime in to the Floridays actual stay experience, units and activities.

Is Floridays near the Vineland outlets?

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I see so many great things about Wyndham bonnett creek , but I also see TripAdvisor have many negative. It almost seems like if you get placed in a certain building on WBC property then its fantastic but it seems like if you have bad luck and get placed on the ground floor or in a certain other building the rooms then appear to have quite a bit of criticism... I'm skeptical and when I booked WBC 3 bedroom and asked to make a request they wouldn't even take a request. When I called to cancel my 3 bedroom villa booking and told them why, they still wouldn't take any room location or buildings request. Am I totally way off only interpretation of trip advisor reviews of the wbc? It was considerably much less $$ for the week stay in 3br at WBC than the 3 bedroom TownHouse I booked at Marriott Lakeshore. It's attractive. I'm seeing the huge difference in price between Marriott Lakeshore and Wyndham Bonnett creek but also wondering why. I won't even keep Floridays in the running - thank you ALL extremely much for the feedback!

Not to complicate matters, but have you looked at the Sheraton Vistana? (not Sheraton Vistana Village) Mousesavers.com has discount rates. I believe it's cheaper than Lakeshore and either cheaper or comparable to WBC and super close to WDW.

We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana in May, liked it a lot and are staying here again next month. The Sheraton was able to honor my requests in May and I am going to contact them about two weeks prior to my September stay with requests. They will say they can't guarantee requests, but I've seen very favorable comments on the Sheraton Vistana Resort thread on here about honoring requests.

The Sheraton Vistana thread is located in the "hotel and accommodation reviews", which is not on the main "orlando hotels and attractions" page. Not sure why, since the WBC thread is on that main page, but you can find it in the first place I mentioned and by following the link.

Re: price difference between WBC and Marriott LSR, I'm not surprised. Marriott timeshares in general seem to be more upscale IMO. We have the option to book the Marriotts through our timeshare and they are always in high demand and Lakeshore is listed as an "elite" resort. (top of the line) Marriott Sabal Palms is listed as a "premier" resort (second from top) as is Sheraton Vistana Resort, both of which I've stayed at; the Sabal many times. The next category is "select" resort (third place) with Liki Tiki as an example. And then there are tons of listings with no ratings. BTW, Floridays has no ratings listing, I just checked. I didn't even realize they were on my timeshare list! I usually choose based on the top two ratings categories and probably skimmed over the Floridays listing since it has no rating.

We don't have the option to trade to WBC so I don't know much about it. Just giving you some insight on the Marriotts and Sheratons.

We have not stayed at Lakeshore but are hoping to at some point. We LOVE the Mariott properties!!!!

You might want to read the we loooooove bonnet creek thread. There are thousands of messages in there, and nearly all have had a positive experience.

WBC is popular because of the combination of location, value and great amenities.

WBC doesn't take requests because they were bombarded with people trying to call ahead to request fireworks views. Sadly, many, but not every room at WBC has a fireworks view, thus some people will complain when they don't get one. Unlike most resorts, where you pay extra to get a view, at WBC it's just the luck of the draw. There are no view categories. You can make a request when you check it and maybe they will grant your request, but nothing is guaranteed.

You have to take tripadvisor reviews with a grain of salt, especially for a timeshare resort. People love to complain there.

Marriott has excellent timeshare properties. Lakeshore has a great location for visiting SeaWorld, but for a Disney visit, I would pick WBC every time because of the location.
