Has anyone ever rented from this company? They have some really good prices and some beautiful homes in Windsor Hills.

I am willing to try Windsor Hills again after a bad experience with another owner and management company (Villa Direct).

Thanks for the info!!

I have used Florida Sun Vacation Homes in the past and will be using them again in January 2009.

I couldn't agree more! I find their selection of homes very impressive and their prices very reasonable.

If you have any specific questions, please feel free to PM me.

I am currently in the process of using them right now. :thumbsup2 I haven't had any problems at all.... I picked the Treasure Cay Condo and put a $250 deposit down online. They sent me a conformation e-mail explaining everything, and saying the final payment would be due on 8/22. They also called about a week ahead, just to remind about final payment. (She was very nice and pleasant). I sent a check for the final payment and everything went fine. I have called once and e-mailed a few times asking about random things and they have responded in 24 to 48 hours. Again, very nice ladies. So far, I'm very pleased with them and CAN'T WAIT for our stay!! I'll be writing up a whole report/review on the company/condo/resort when I return.....:thumbsup2

We used them in May. We had no problem's except for the few items in the house that needed to be taken care of ... light bulb out, skimmer head broken. They fixed them promptly. I wasnt happy that they didnt let us check-in 1 hour early on a Sunday without trying to charge me for a 1/2 day but i'm aware that's their policy and if they don't want to bend it, that's fine. When I dealy with a private owner in 2005, she was more than willing to let us in an hour early.

I'm planning on booking a 3 bedroom condo in WH for next Spring, and I've done the enquiry function at windsorhillsrent.com, so I followed the thread here about "checking out" the owners.

After I read this thread, though, I looked at the condos at Florida Sun Vacation Homes that are available during my dates, and these condos by and large seem to be decorated much more to my family's liking. My question is (and it may be a dumb one, so please forgive me), should I still try to check out individual owners if I go through FSVH, or can I feel comfortable without taking this step if I go through the MC?

Princess Michelle - Treasure Cay looks very nice!

Thanks!

I don't even knows who owns Treasure Cay...I'm not even going to worry about it. So far, the company has been great, so I feel comfortable enough to trust them. We leave in 29 days!!! We get back on Oct. 15th, so keep your eye out for my Trip Report. :thumbsup2 I'm gonna take tons of pics and I'll post a report just about the condo and Windsor Hills in addition to a dining one :)

29 DAYS WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to your reports, Princess Michelle! I hope you have a fabulous time!

Hi everyone.

I realize that most everyone on this forum has good things to say about FSVH. My only concern is that I have to make my full payment 6 WEEKS PRIOR to my arrival. I am a bit concerned about this since there is not much I can do if I arrive only to find out that I was ripped off.

Did everyone else have to go through this procedure?
I did not see any other vacation homes that also require this.

Thanks

We used Florida Sun Vacation Homes for the first time for our stay this past December. We were very impressed with the condo and I was very happy with the service from the management company. We would very definitely use them again if we return to Orlando!

We gave our deposit with the initial booking, and then payment in full about 6 weeks before we checked in. A week before check in, they also charged our credit card for the damage deposit, but that was returned in full about a week after we checked out.

It is common to have to pay in full before checking in. Even Disney makes you pay in full (for a package) 45 days before check in.

I think that's pretty standard. We've used another company in the past and are renting direct from owner for our November trip and both had the 6 week policy. Some owners were asking for final payment 8-10 weeks prior.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes
