We set the alarm for an early call today as we are meeting up with Karen and family for a fun day at MGM, we have made arrangements to meet outside Sid Cahuenga's store at 9am.
After a quick breakfast, we head out to the bus stop just to see the MGM bus pulling away, and of course as always when you have made arrangements another one seems to take a lifetime coming. We arrived at the park a little after our planned meeting time and Karen was waiting for us. We meet up with Jon and the girls and all make our way over to RnR and TOT. Now I use to love these rides but in my old age I feel they are best left to the youngsters of our group and as Vicki and Jon are dead keen to go on, Karen and I sit and people watch (well chat for want of a better word) with the girls.
After a very pleasant hour, Vic and Jon are back and we make our way over to the Writers Stop shop to grab a bite to eat, I have a bagel, and I introduce Karen to the best Macademia Nut and White chocolate cookies going. I think she is convinced that we have found a little gem stone of a cookie shop here. The girls have a little play in the Honey I Shrunk The Kids Movie Set Adventure and then we move on to see The Lights, Motors, Action show, Vic and I had seen this before but it was Karen and familys first time. We were sat almost as far up as you can possibly get and a storm started within minuets of us sitting down, the show was postponed for a while and I have to say it was pretty hairy being sat so far up with the wind and rain gusting all around us. It soon stopped and the show began, after seeing it twice, I did enjoy it but dont think I would go out of my way to see it again. From there we went over to the Great Movie Ride, which was great as always.
It was now time for lunch so we went to the ABC Commisonary where we all had a pleasent lunch of burgers and chips. Jon then went over and got us all fastpass tickets for the afternoons showing of Indiana Jones. We had a little walk around and I was pleased to see that Mike and Sully(my favorite) were out for photos, so the whole gang got in. Karen purchased the photo and very kindly bought one for me as well, thank you.
We then moved over to Muppetts show which the girls adored and we all had a great laugh. By now it was time for our Indiana Jones fasrpasses to be used, so after settling down and the show beginning, which we were really enjoying, the heavens decided to open once again and they had to cancel the show.
As the weather had taken a turn for the worse we decided it was probably best to call it a day and go back to our hotels as it was coming up to 5pm. We had a brilliant day and it was great to have some wonderful company. Thank you guys, we really enjoyed it.
Back at the Pop, Vicki and I had a little nap, then got changed and decided to head to DTD to have a look around, we called into Virgin, where I purchased a Friends Trivia Book and Vicki bought some Heavey Rock CD's, we then went and watched a guy perfornming fantastic magic tricks at Magic Masters, we must have been there over an hour and Vicki ended up buying a deck of cards magic trick to impress the family when we got back home.
We stopped outside House of Blues and had a nice drink, before making our way back to the POP.
Fell asleep dreaming of giant pack of cards chasing me down Hollywwod Bolvd,zzzzzzz
