Going to WDW in a couple of weeks and getting the three day ticket, but adding the park hopper option to it. We will use two days this trip and were going to save the third.

When we go in September, I can take this ticket and turn it in, for FULL value of what I paid for it (approximately $160.00) towards the purchase of my Seasonal AP. Is that correct?

This is correct, but your seasonal pass will start the day you bought your 3 day pass. I guess it wouldn't really matter though, since it's a blackout period this time of year anyways!

Hee hee. I know. That's why I was hoping this would work. Its almost feels like I am cheating, but I'm not!

I'm not so sure about that, you said you are going in a few weeks?

Will it be during the black-out dates for the Seasonal Pass? If it is you may have a problem, they wouldn't be able to issue a pass during the blackout dates so they may just credit the one retaining date toward the purchase of the Pass.
The blackout dates are:
3/19/05 - 4/1/05
6/11/05 - 8/18/05
12/22/05 - 1/5/06

Let us know how it works out.

Won't you also have to purchase the "no expiration" option, too? Otherwise doesn't your ticket expire 14 days after use?

I thought that only certian types of pass's qualified for the "full amount paid" applied towards an annual or seasonal. Usually it is when Disney offers the play 4 days for like $109, then they give you the option to upgrade with the full amout you paid applied towards your upgrade. They usually have a date that the "offer" expires & you must upgrade by then or you cannot do it.

I believe you can use the your days on the 3 day play pass for up to 6 months after the first date of use.

Florida Residents get the new 3 Day Play Pass for only $119 plus tax, the same price a non-Florida Resident pays for the 2-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket.

$119 plus tax (Ages 10 and up)
$96 plus tax (Ages 3-9)

The new 3-Day Play Pass is available for purchase all year long and expires 6 months from the first use. So you can enjoy one Theme Park per day for any 3 days, with no block-out dates.

For residents looking to enhance the pass even more, you can add the Park Hopper® option to your 3-Day Play Pass for $35 plus tax. The Park Hopper® option lets you come and go as you please between the 4 Theme Parks on the same day.

Plus, you can apply the price of the 3-Day Play Pass towards the purchase of an Annual or Seasonal Pass!

Proof of Florida residency for each adult is required - you must provide any one of the following:
Florida driver's license
Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address)
Florida voter's registration card with corresponding
picture ID
A college ID for a Florida college
Florida-based military ID
Passes are non-transferable, are only valid during regularly scheduled operating hours and exclude activities/events priced separately. No additional discounts apply.

The 3-Day Play Pass is available for purchase online or by calling (407) WDW-MAGIC (939-6244)†. Florida Resident tickets are also available at Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket windows, Florida AAA offices and Florida Disney Stores.

so the answer is YES your plan will work.

They don't have the play 4 days tickets anymore, they have these three days for the price of a regular two day now.

I guess I will find out. It won't totally ruin anything if it doesnt work because we can always just get the Seasonal AP when we go in October, but it would be nice to get the full credit.

I did that last October - I got the 4 day pass and then when I went back in December I was able to apply the amount I paid for the 4 day pass to the season pass. Then in May my DH got the 3 day pass - we used 2 days so when we go back in October he will use the other day and we will apply the amount to getting him a season pass - I did get the non-expiring option as well so if we don't make it back until December it will be ok. Also since I got him the park hopper and the non-expiring the extra money we spent on that will be applyed to the season pass as well.
