Florida Resident Question

I searched but didn't find the answer. We are coming down in June for 4 nights and were going to stay off property. My brother, SIL and their 2 kids have decided to come over (they live in Venice, FL) while we are there. They are now thinking about staying on property. Can they book their room and another for us as well? I wasn't sure what the policy was for FL residents booking a 2nd room for family members. I also don't know if they will only stay 2 or 3 nights, if that's the case, can we stay the full 4 nights if they are allowed to book it for us too?

Not sure what the official policy is but there is nothing against the rules about each one of them booking a room under their own name & having non-resident guests on the res. Have DB book one room for x-nights & DSIL book second room for y-nights.

Yep, I think as long as there is a FL resident listed for each room, it's ok.

And just want to add, I lived in Venice for a few years (am now in Sarasota). :goodvibes

Thanks so much! That's what I was thinking but didn't want to do anything against policy but I have yet to find any information about a policy regarding that.

Have you looked on mousesavers.com?

For the answer to my question or for additional Disney discount for us non FL residents? I have not looked for the answer there but I will check to see if they have a policy. There seems to be a gap for the time we are there in public discounts (June 6-10) so I am trying to figure out what to do. I cannot justify ~180+ a night for Pop Century.

You could go to Disney.com and do a chat session. I was actually just there to ask some questions about the Florida resident Discover Disney tickets and they were very helpful!

I've read somewhere, wish I could find where at the moment, that FLRs can book up to 3 rooms for their party. But don't quote me as that's been a few years. Remember though you would probably have to arrive at the same time, since you have to show your FL drivers license, but could check out separately. Summer time is peak money making season for Disney. Typically the FLR room only rate will be about 15-20% off rack.
