Are there deals that typically beat the Fl resident prices on resorts/ packages , or is that the best I can hope for?

The AP discounts are sometimes a few dollars less, but usually there isn't a whole lot of difference between them. Unless you receive a personal code on a postcard or email, that's about the best you'll get.
