Florida Resident AP: buying online

We are planning a trip for the end of March and I would like to make my FP+ selections before we arrive. Can I buy our Florida Resident APs online (I want to do the monthly payments) but not activate them until March when our first trip is? Will I be able to make FP+ selections if I do it this way?

I know the monthly payments will start now but I can't find an answer as to whether or not my AP will activate now or when I take the voucher in March. I've tried searching and searching and haven't found a definitive answer. TIA!

An AP purchased on line cannot be activated until the guest arrives, in-person, at a WDW ticket booth or Guest Relations.

Yes. Your AP won't start until you first go to the parks

Yes. We just bought an AP over the phone. They gave us a code which I linked to my MDE account. Right now it shows the AP expires in the year 2030 because it isn't activated yet. We will activate it in February when we arrive but I am able to book FP already. So this should work for you too!
