Florida may buy closed theme park Cypress Gardens

WINTER HAVEN, Florida (AP) -- State officials say they may buy and preserve Cypress Gardens, the closed historic theme park that served as the backdrop for several Esther Williams movies during its prime.

Man, I wish we had made time for Cypress Gardens during one of our FL trips. I just assumed that since it had been around so long, it would be there when my kids are grown.
