Florida Folks

We go over as much as possible - well, as much as I can talk my DH into going that is! :teeth: Even if we just go for the weekend, it seems like we've really been on a longer "vacation" (if that makes sense) - and I love to try out all the different resorts and try to go to a different one each time! :Pinkbounc

DD9 and I live less that 1 hour away and from Oct - May we try and get WDW at least once a week. Sometimes it is DTD for a movie, dining or shopping. Once the summer gets here we go less often, and mostly only in the evenings.

I too love being able to decided at 4:45 that we are going to the "World",and being in our destination park by 6pm!

Seahunt, we are neighbors,

We go as often as possible, but not as often as I would like. :rotfl:

We are about an hour away and the Annual Pass's make it easier to go more often then not. Happier now that we can go more often then when we lived in NY

I live about 50 minutes away, SW of the Magic. I go every other weekend or so, providing I'm not on call for work. I'm looking to move to Lakeland tho' so I'll only be about 30 minutes away :) I'll prolly go more often then :)

Going tonight for dinner at San Angel Inn, and ome research on Mexican culture for DDs school project!

We live in Ft. Lauderdale and come at least twice a year. Since we got our annual passes, we have gone quarterly this year :cool1: A very wonderful, magical thing happened last time we were there. In Aug.05 we went and purchased Fla. three day passes, used the three days, went home. We went again in Jan., were ordering another set of three day passes and the CM at the register told me that if I want to upgrade to Annual passes, I have six months to do so. Then, a little light bulb lit in my head!!! I asked her that if I wanted to upgrade, do I need the actual tickets to do it? She said no, she could look it up on the computer!! WOO HOO!!! I told her we had purchased three day passes the previous August, she looked it up, and there it was!! So not only did we get Annual (seasonal) Passes, we paid almost $100.00 LESS to have them than we would have paid for another set of three day passes!!!! I was FLOATING on air for the rest of that trip!!!! We are going again on May 12-14 before blackout dates start in June, and we are going again in late Aug. before they expire (the only bad thing is that they exprire on the date of the original three day pass date). I am SO happy!!!!!
is this really right? I have been told so many different things...

:wave2: We also live in Fort Lauderdale, and we must go about five or six times a year, we are also dvc members, and annual pass holders as well.
we are very excited about going on the disney cruise line in Aug.
We love going any time of the year, its also special and we never get tired of this beautiful place.
I feel we are very lucky to be Florida residents.
We we are not at Disney World, we are at the BEACH the best of two world.

Just wanted to let you know that also when you buy annual passed, we also get a very good rate being fl. residents and also as a DVC members.
THAT IS THE BEST DEAL. Also to renew the passes is a good savings as well.
You enjoy the parks more and you are not rushed to see everything, less stressful. Alot of times we just go to the parks for dinner!

As little as twice as year, the most was eight times. Mostly we try to do two three-day weekend trips on site at Universal, then two four- or five-day trips to WDW.

Depends on work, tho :)

We live in West Palm Beach and go for planned trips at least twice a year in March and September. Then we try and go maybe 2 other times for quick weekend trips.

We go just about every Fri and Sat weather permitting. Last Sat went to Epcot for Flower and Garden, Sea World for shows and ended up at Universal for KC & the Sunshine Band. Would you believe KC is now 55. Boy were getting old.

When we are lucky, 3 times a year (which we have been the last couple of years). We get at least 2 uses out of a pass, because I refuse to only use them once! (what a great excuse to go back!) The 7 hour drive down is a killer, however, expecially since last 2 times have been stuck on interstates because of bad wrecks. So that adds at least another hour to the trip. Wish we only had a quick drive-- I would love to just go to Epcot for dinner!

Hey Princessmom2, I live in Ft Walton too! We try to go twice every year but last year only made it once.

We live in Lithia, just south east of Tampa. We are DVC members and new passholders. I finally talked DH into getting them this time -- we are going over for a week -- leaving Sunday. I'm sure we'll be going over a lot more this year. We have been going at least twice a year since becoming DVC members in 2003. I can't wait to be able to surprise the kids with "get in the car we're going to DISNEY!!" on a non-eventful Saturday.

We are 2 hrs 15 minutes away door-to-door, and we generally go once a month in cool weather (October through April), except we usually go twice in October for the Food and Wine Fest. :goodvibes We always stay at least one night (no day trips--just not as relaxing to have to drive home after a day in the parks).

May through September, we generally don't go to Disney (way too hot! Did go for one day during the Flower and Garden Festival last year, but I really was afraid I would pass out from the heat). During warm weather we go to the beach, as hot weather is OK as long as I'm on a breezy beach and either under an umbrella or in the water. :cloud9:
