I was looking at Keepsake Floral's services (www.keepsakefloral.com), which is the only floral preservation company on Disney's recommended list. Some of their work looks nice, but all of it is expensive (easily more than what the bouquet costs). :scared1:

Are Keepsake Floral's prices in line with other floral preservation companies? Are there other companies near Walt Disney World worth considering for this service?

I'm headed onto a 7-day cruise after WDW and won't get back home until ten days after the ceremony. Is this too late to have a bouquet preserved? I'd have to hang it upside down somewhere in my stateroom. I live in Canada, so there may be an issue with bringing flowers across the border if I waited until I get home (I'd need to check).

I wanted to preserve my bouquet too...and there are lots of places out there to do it for you. But, for me, it was just not in our budget...I was kind of surprised at the prices too. There are brides here who have done it and they are very happy with the results.

I'm not sure if Disney recommends anyplace else, but that might only be because of some "exclusivity" contract or something. My guess is, if you find someplace else, you can have your planner or a CM at your resort arrange to send the bouquet to wherever you want.

Google "bouquet preservation" and you will get lots of links to places...at least you can compare prices there. Most places give tips too so you will know for sure how long you can wait and what you can do to make your bouquet last long enough.

To be honest, I think 10 days is probably too long. A lot will depend on the type of flowers you use but I'm betting the most you can wait is 3 or 4 days.

Hope that helps a little!

10 days is too long. the bouguet needs to be kept in a refrigerator to keep it fresh as long as possible. mine was kept for 3 days in a fridge and that was pushing it. Keepsake floral is the company that disney recommends because they will come directly to disney to pick up your bouquet, whereas other locations i think you need to get it to them?? i am unsure. Def. look at other locations online, but i think that floral preservation in general is pricey. i have heard of palces beign more than keepsake and that was alot.

You could just hang our flowers and press them on your own. this way you have your flowers still. i say just do that - you can at least have the petals and use them in a scrapbook or something.

i can say that i was happy with my floral preservation results from keepsake. i was hesitant because of the cost until the day of the wedding. i thought and thought and then as soon as I saw them I said - call keepsake. i love the arrangement and there is something great about waking up and seeing my bouquet from my wedding. I do not regret spending the money.

It is not in our budget to preserve our flowers, so I have decided to make a crystal bouquet myself. I estimate that I can make one for a lot less than I can have a floral bouquet preserved.
