LMAO!! Sorry I'm a UM fan! Go Canes!!

I will hopefully have my floral budget in the next few weeks so I'll post it when I do.

This is one area I am personally spending very little on. I know from weddings I have gone to I never remembered the flowers. I also was a bridesmaid in October and the bride made all the bouquets herself and I thought they turned out beautiful. This helped me decide to make my own. I will also be keeping the costs for centerpieces and ceremony decor to a minimal. I just personally would rather spend the money elsewhere, but it depends on your tastes and budget. I think you can spend very little, or spend a fortune.

Ours was $8900 CEREMONY ONLY for 76 guests. We did some different things we also made major budget cuts right before the deadline. I have quite a few regrets, none of them are floral.

We worked with Laura and she was really worth every penny. I abs LOVED her.

I would stick with Disney for floral as opposed to going elsewhere.

I agree, Laura is so good at what she does!! We met with her last Friday and she really helped us pin down all the ideas floating around my head into an actual bouquet and centerpieces.

Our floral is $1600 for 30 people. I probably could have cut it down even more but we wouldn't have meet our minimum. That includes our favors too. We have Laura too and she has been fantastic!

Floral Rule of thumb: My cousin is getting married and her florist said that your centerpieces should cost as much as one plate for a guest. So if your paying 125 for a plate, then thats how much your centerpiece should cost!

Hope that helps :)

I will be getting a floral proposal from Flourish Productions soon and then I'll see what Disney can do and then I'll decide...Floral is very important to me, I think the linens, flowers, etc. can make the reception look dull or amazing... Every wedding I've been to it's the first thing I notice...according to David Tutera the rule is to never use fake flowers or fake anything in a wedding, lol. :thumbsup2

I just got mine in today... I'll be posting it in my Planning Journal if you want to look at it.

Mine is $1911.01 for 40 guests. It will probably end up being for 35 guests because we had one no RSVP. So the floral will go down. And the mothers are not getting bouquets like it's listed there, just coursages.

Ours was about 10K for just under 30 guests. We used Flourish Productions but went with Disney for dessert party (required) and a few minor things. That includes our costs for personal, ceremony, reception, and DP. I loved working with Flourish, I think they went above and beyond. I had several floral meetings and they did a complete mock up of all my floral for me.

I do think the mock up is really worth having. Disney is the only florist I have ever heard of that doesn't offer it - and in my book thats a huge negative. i wish they offered it. As happy as I was overall, I would have made a number of changes and would have been much happier the day of if I knew what I was getting. I think a number of problems could have been avoided.

Yes, this was a huge bonus for us. I know Disney can do some amazing work but I just wanted the reassurance and a personal touch. Flourish was able to do our isle runner, draping, dance floor, etc. etc. instead of having to go with a bunch of other vendors.

OP, I just saw your PM so sorry I never responded. To answer your questions I think we got more for either the same amount or less. I think they did a lot of things Disney wouldn't for example they did mock ups of our floral, linens, and place settings. They also took and refreshed my bouquet and made DH a new bout and hand delivered them to keepsake floral for preservation at no additional charge to me.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Was it a lot less going through an outside florist or did you choose your florist for another reason?
I know Disney does a great job. Do you have any photos of your floral? I would love to see something besides Disney Floral.

Thank you,
April

That's great to hear, I'm actually going to receive a proposal from them next week. I had them throw in the chiavari chiars and aisle runner...Brian has some great ideas and I can't wait to see the mock ups.

I never even got a price quote from Disney floral. At the time of planning my wedding there were quite a few negative reviews of Disney floral (wrong colors, things not as described, lots of dead flowers). I haven't heard any negative reviews recently but at the time I was very worried.

Here are some photos of our ceremony and reception.
