Folks, you do realize that this is paid from us (our dues), not Disney. Any compensation (be it adding points back into a members account, or xfer to a Disney hotel) comes from our accounts. This is because "we" own this resort, not Disney. Disney is only administrating it on our behalf. So be careful when you develop the "disney owes me" attitude.

In this case I think the OP absolutely is owed the difference in points. Period. There is a difference in being somewhat inconvenienced, and being out out of a room in your PJ's and told you were out of luck in getting showered and ready to face the world for up to seven hours. No way. The few points we are talking about are a big difference to the OP, and .000001 difference to teh rest of the owners at SSR.

Thank You under the circumstances DVC did what they had to, There are showers and changing rooms by the Spa. I use them whenever we have a late flight out and want to spend the day at the pool..

You might, but there is no way that someone should be expected to start their day that way. I don't use public showers. Yuck.

Having to evacuate your room is never convenient, my goal would be to get cleaned up as best as possible and get to the parks. The last thing I would want to do is check into another room and waste 1/2 a day. By mid day everyone in the parks needs another shower anyway, so IMHO you should get moving and most likely everything would be straightened out by dinner time. Cm's would have moved all your belongings to another room so you could get cleaned up and go out for nice meal. Maybe even on the house as another poster suggested. I've had things go haywire on vacation many times best to just roll with it and laugh about it later. By now OP is probably already joking about it. It is pretty funny if you think about it! : Don't flame me I've already been told about my warped sense of humor
