Our trip is almost a week away (leave on the 13th) and we are super excited. I just have a couple of questions about the route I'm taking. We are catching a baseball game on our way from FLL to WDW on Saturday, which is why we aren't flying into MCO.

We land at FLL between midnight and 12:30 Friday night, and our first hotel is at near PBI. When I google maps the trip, it tells me that both I95 and the turnpike will take about an hour, and that the turnpike will be about 8 miles longer. At midnight will traffic be an issue on that stretch of I95? Which route would you recommend?

In the morning we'll go from our hotel to Port St. Lucie. Should I take the I95 north and catch the turnpike near Jupiter, or should I head straight to the turnpike from our hotel?

I will have a rental, but I do have my own Sunpass.

Thanks for your help.

At midnight I-95 is quite clear. The turnpike takes longer because it is further inland than I-95. I would just use I-95. You should be able to get from FLL to PBI in about 40-50 minutes at midnight.

You can catch the turnpike at Jupiter. Truthfully depending on what time of morning your leaving, your not going to save much time unless its in rush hour. The turnpike and I-95 are practically side by side until SR76. At best you might shave 5 minutes off. I would probably just stick on I-95 and skip the unnecessary toll.

I assumed the traffic would be light at midnight, but in I've seen weirder. I was looking for major construction between FLL and PBI and didn't see any so I think I'll be fine with the I95.

Thanks for your help.
