Flitter is still at DL and asked me to post

Flitter (Mary) and her DH are still at DL. They were supposed to come home to IL this morning.

She asked me to post to tell everyone how accomodating Disney has been today. Although the parks are closed, they brought over entertainment (including characters) to the hotels for the kids. First thing this morning they had counselors available. They opened up the movie theatres and have been showing free movies all day. Tonight they opened up ESPN. There was free food and drinks all day. They made sure there was plenty of games to keep kids and adults amused.

Mary couldn't say enough about how great Disney is and wanted you all to know.

Looks like she and DH will not get home till Thurs. and at this point, neither one is looking forward to the plane ride home.

Thanks for letting us all know this. While we have been trying to explain this tragedy to our six (almost seven) year old son, he cannot quite get a grasp on what it all means. The thing that finally made him realize how serious this all is was when he heard on the radio that they closed WDW and DL. He knows that they have not done that often before and it is a drastic measure. I am glad to hear that Disney is doing its very best to "keep the magic alive" while ensuring guest safety during this terrible time. (also glad to hear that Mary is doing okay!)

Glad to hear she is alright. Boy in a way she is getting two vacations instead on one.
