I just read your report. We were on the same flight on the 13th. My son and I sat in front of you guys on the plane. Your son is just the cutest, and he was SO good on the flight to Midway. WOW, what a small world. Hope you guys had a good trip (it appears that you did).

Chapter 1. Welcome and start of our 2008 Christmas trip. Day 1 Part 1

Chapter 3. Our feet touch WDW property, and we go exploring

the check in line went very fast, there were 2 people in front of us, and they were called to empty windows, and we were called up with minutes.

a quick apoligy, sorry last chapter did not have a ton of writing i was doing it fast before i left for the holiday i wanted to give you guys something to read over the long weekend.

I love the decorations at the Grand Floridian. So pretty. That tree with the monorail at the Contemoprary is really cool.

well, we were talking with my parents, we were set to go back in otober of 2010 well, my mom wont be able to take off work then, so...the next best thing

going back sooner in the first of june 2010 so within a mater of minutes, we knocked off a few months, so down to 1 year and 6 months till we go to disney again.

Chapter 5. Meeting characters for the first time

I will start this chapter out with a video from yesterday that i did not show, it was from the airport when we were still in Chicago. here was his reaction from riding down the moving walkways, before i started videoing his feet where going like crazy like he was saying faster faster, i got a little of it on this video, then he went back to eating his straps.



Now back to first day in the parks, It is monday the 8th, and we were going to MGM, thats right i still say MGM, cause that is what it is called, and we were going to AK later in the day and then back to MGM for the night time.

Parker got up at 6:55 ready to roll o nhis first morning, and the phone rang at 7:00 with stitch yelling, parker just stared at the speaker phone like what the heck is that nose daddy.

We feed parker, and then got him dressed to go, here he is waiting for daddy to dress him.

While candi got dressed the rest of the way, i took parker with me to the main building to fill them up with some hot chocolate...it was not free i nthe mugs this year, you had to pay extra for it, we got it free at CBR and All stars, but not this year, unless we should have went to the pepper market not sure if we could have gotten it in there or not...

So we got some pop and headed back to the room to feed parker his cereal and finish packing stuff up to go.

we were at the bus stop at 8:00 and ready to go to MGM

it was a little chilly this morning so we had parker wrapped up some.

the busses to MGM were the most unpredictable this stay, we waited 15 minutes for one, then there was 1 wheelchair on the bus, and 1 at our stop, well it took the driver 10 minutes to move them and then they had to load the next wheelchair from our stop, we finally made it there at about 8:45 and made it through the bag check and the gates were just letting people in to see the pre show.

i stopped and grapped the autograph pen for parker to use to get his autographs.

(i know he was to young to remember getting autographs, but we have photos of it, and he will be able to look back on it when he grows up and see who he meet on his first visit, plus it was fun for us to do it for him)

we were throught the pre show and on our way to Toy story when we saw the characters coming out for picturs and autographs.

(another side bar, when my parents when down last year and my nephew was 2, they only saw the characters at chef mickeys, said that he saw all of them there and did not know better to miss them at other times of the parks, this got me and candi really upset that they did not see the characters for our nephew. we said when we go back in 2 years that we will take him to all of hte characters, we love seeing his face lite up when he sees them)

sorry rant over, so we put our son first and took him to see some characters,

well Stitchi is standing there by himself and we walk up to him and he starts to "talk" and play with parker, then his handler came over and says sir there is a line you need to wait your turn, we said we were the first ones here, she says please come over here and form a line, okay i say and we start to walk over next to here, then a lady jumps in front of us and she is first to "officially" see stitch, well stitch did not like this he tried to motion to us to come back to him, he knew we were first and tried to get us to go in front of the other lady and her daughter, but we told him it was okay we would see him soon.

it worked out good anyway cause that lady left and when she was gone, then lilo came over to join stitch.

here is parker with stitch, he was a little unsure about him, since he really does not watch his shows, but he was not scared either, just kinda looked at him.

then lilo came over to see him and sign his book

i am not sure if we have photopass from them or not, but my photopass CD should be coming by the end of the week, so early next week i will have some photopass pics to share with everyone.

then we saw that chip and dale only had 2 kids in there line so we ran over there next.

he was acting shy with them and hiding his face sum, but smiling and laughing at them.

dale was showing him his autograph in the book

we asked if they could hold him and they shook there heads no, but later in the week the princesses were allowed to hold them i will show those coming up.

after that the lines were getting kinda long for the other characters and thought it was time to go to toy story...it was about 9:30 and the fast passes were for 1 hour later, not to bad, we got a set and got in line.

i took some pictures of the setup while candi got the fast passes.

and the guys that were lowering him down.

next trivia question for your enjoyment.

we all know that pluto was the dog that first appeared as minnie mouses pet, but what was his original name in that short, and what was the name of it.

what is the total miles that the WDW buses travel each year.

I love the look on Parker's face when he looks at the characters. Great report. We have always put the kids first when it comes to spending time with the characters. That is time you never get again and it is so precious.
