Flirting our Way through WDW 1 person at a time(New -2)Final Chapter

The lights look so different with the LEDs...so bright and beautiful. It was our fav part of the holiday stuff in WDW. Thanks for the awesome videos!

Love the latest updates! :thumbsup2 Parker is such a cutie - looks like he really enjoyed his first big day at WDW. :goodvibes Love seeing the lights & everything since we'll be bringing our baby girl down in Dec '09 for her first trip. :)

Your report is a great one for me to read. Our baby will be almost ten months when we go this summer! Love it! Also I am excited to hear all about CSR- we are staying there for the first time this trip.

I had to watch the videos today, and they were amazing!!! It really makes me want to go around Christmas time, but that will have to wait until DS isn't playing sports. He would have to stay home, because they have games and practice over both holidays. If you miss practice, you don't play. Sucks for him, and it limits us too.
I can't wait to read more about your holiday visit!

You have so many great pictures! Obsourne Lights look awesome. I cannot wait to see them!
thanks, they were awesome, you will love them they were the highlight nite show for us.

Those are so cute, it's funny how when they are tired they can fall asleep anywhere even when 5 bizillon lights flashing. I can't wait to see those this year when we go. The kids are going to love it.
i know, he would do that all the time, you will see more of how he just fell asleep doing things, it was so cute how he would fall asleep in some of t he positions that he did.

great installment! thanks for posting all the pics. i LOVE the osborne lights! i think they were my favorite part - even moreso than the castle! don't get me wrong - i LOVED the castle!!!! but those lights were just unbelievable. we went there at the very end of the night and by the time we left (an hour after park closing) we pretty much had the streets to ourselves. it was so cool!

i think it's fitting that the "peace on earth" sign is behind him. :)
i thought the same thing, i have seen the castle lighting on tv and it was still really cool in person, but the lights even if you have seen a clip or a commercial on them it does not do it justice like seeing it in person, they were AWESOME.
i never noticed the sign above his head, i mean i planed it that way when i took the picture.
:goodvibes

Great pics and video! The Photopass in front of the hat is really cute. I saw the lights (unlit of course) when they were setting them up in October. It is really cool to see them lit up! I love the big popcorn tubs! I have one in my classroom that holds pieces for my calendar board. My students love it!

i love t hem we use it for microwave popcorn at home, makes it feel like disney popcorn, and it keeps the bottom nice and warm.

Hi!! I've been lurking and just had to comment! Parker is adorable and the three of you make a beautiful family!!

We are going this year, December 5-12 (Pop Warner week), staying at CBR. Your pictures make me even more excited to be going then. How were the crowds and how was the weather???

Can't wait to read more!!
:welcome: thanks for commenting.
and thanks for the very nice comments.
we enjoyed the week we were there, it was nice, not to busy you will love CBR, we stayed there on our honeymoon, very nice resort.
we stayed away from teh parks when they had pop warner stuff planned at them, but not sure if you will be able to do that ornot.
weathre was good, some days you needed a sweetshirt, some days you were fine with shorts and a tshirt, one day we sweated a little so it just varies, but we were satisfied, we never needed a jacket that week.

wow, your pics of the Osborne lights came out amazing!!!

The pic with parker sleeping is so precious:)

I love the black and white photopass pic at the end

The light show sounded and looked so cool

Thanks for sharing:goodvibes
thanks sharky,
i had alot of fun editing the pics with candi, and coming up with some of those looks.
it is a pretty cute picture isnt it.
:thumbsup2

I am really enjoying your trip report. Parker is just a little doll baby. He is going to be a heart breaker for sure when he grows up.

We always go at Christmas time and enjoy the Osbourne lights. We missed this year, the first time in 26 years, because of the economy. Hopefully next year we can go back to see all those magical sights.
i believe this is the first time you have commented so :welcome:
and thanks for the nice words.

we will go back again at that time, but not for a few trips, the next few are planned for june and october, but we will see after that.

The Osbourne lights look so cool, I SO want to go to wdw at Christmas just to see all the decorations. Parker looks like he's having a blast. I love all the photopass pics, last time we were there the photographers were few and far between, seems like there's more opportunities to get photopass pics done now.
thanks,
there is a site i believe on the photopass site that shows each park and the location of all of the photographers, i just looked at it close before we left, and made sure that we hit up most of them.

you will love it, that was a good time to take them, ask me anything you want to know about CSR or taking a little one, i have some good advice. hint, if you dont have a small stroller, or would like a lightweight one, the second small one that we got was from babies r us, and it was awesome, very light umbrella stroller, you could fold it up with your foot, and snap it together, and they had some bright orange ones that were very easy to find when you came off rides, since they move your strollers around when you are on the rides, we found that very helpful.

glad you got to watch them....how many years will you have to wait for that to happen.

Hey Dan......loved your Osborn lights pics......so clear.
Great video's too & now it's making me want to go back to WDW at Christmas!!!!
Parker is the cutest thing ever.:goodvibes Loved the freedom picture of him crawling around in the room!
Ready for more. popcorn::

3 more years. He's a freshman, so he has only just begun. I'm taking our vacation in June, and the coaches will just have to deal. I've decided that he's "mine" for only so long, so we're taking our vacations. The football coach said that we "can have" the last week of June/first week of July for our vacations. That's when there's not too much going on. He also plays summer basketball, and so there you have it. He's 6'4 at 15. Keep that little guy of yours small for as long as you can, because pretty soon he will be a man!

Thanks for the tip on the stroller - we don't have an umbrella one just yet since she is still a bit small for one, but I plan on getting one this summer to test out to make sure it'll be good for Disney. :thumbsup2

Did you find that you did more or less sit down meals with a little one along? We usually do one sit down a day when it's just the two of us, but not sure how that'll work out with a 15 month old. I guess it probably also depends on the personality of the child...

Can't wait to read the rest of your report. :thumbsup2

thanks, make sure you tell disney when you book it that it was because of me and they might send me a gift card.
;) he loved his freedom as well.

i see, let him practice and he can play pro ball then you can retire to disney world, :thumbsup2
june is not that bad of a time to go, we have been a few times then, it is notreally hot yet but still decent crowd levels.

your welcome, we did all counter service meals, 1 because we were not on hte dining plan 2. because it was always to much food for us the amount we got on the counter service was plenty and a few things we shared. 3. our little man does good at the table eating, but at 9 months, when he is done eating and you are still eating he gets a little antsy and wants to either keep eating or he wants to go and do other stuff, so we just did the counter, but at 15 months she might be fine sitting there playing before and after food comes out, like you said it is all dependant on the child, i would make some reservations and if you dont keep them ohh well, we had 4 made, but didnot go to them cause of one thing or another.

That white knit Mickey hat on Parker has to be one of the cutest hats I have ever seen! It also does not matter how old your child is when you take them to WDW, it's memories for you and your wife! If we could take my daughter now for her first trip we would, she has to wait until 2 (until we save enough $$), but when we took my son for his first, it was so special! I will always remember everything, even if he doesn't:):) Loved all the video of the Osbourne Lights too!! Thanks for sharing!

What a great first day! I can't believe how much you got done, and how great of a vacation you were already having :goodvibes The Osborne Lights look gorgeous, I can only imagine how cool they look in person. Thanks for sharing!

We mostly go in June. Our first time there was in early July, and DH and went alone Oct 2007. I like to vacation when it's hot, that way I can swim and bake and not be freezing.

thanks, we got the hat at the disney store around christmas 2 years ago before we knew if parker was a girl or a boy.

i see, that is true, you have to have your memories of taking them as well.

it is nice when it is warmer for the water parks and pools but sometimes wlaking in the parks sweating is just to much for me, hope it is mild june when we go.
:beach:

I must say I am offended you don't know the difference between a Canadian and British accent

Great photos, I love Parker's hat. He looks like he had so much fun, and you must have so many amazing memories, he really knows how to make them for you with his cute little faces. The Osbourne Lights look so good, I hope I get to see them soon. Can't wait for the next update.

sorry i need to brush up on my accents.

he sure does know how to make us laugh and have a good time, not that we needed him to do that, but he sure helps.

finally caught up! love all your pics of the osbone lights. I miss them! can't wait to hear more! that was a long full first day!

Chapter 13. We depart for Blizzard Beach

So day number 3 awaits us, we woke up at about 630 and said t his aint happening, role back over parker was still recouping from his long first day, so we were going to let him sleep as long as he wanted to. at about 730 we heard some kids running really loud and fast back and forth outside the door...we could not get mad, i am sure they were just pumped to be going into a park that morning.

parker heard them a few seconds later and started to wake up.

now inever drink coffee i hate the stuff, but i thought about trying something, so i mixed in 4 creams and 4 sugars and it was not to bad, no coffee flavor what so ever, all it needed was a little rum.

why candi nursed the peanute, i rolled over to the pool and got some towels to take with us BB.

I packed up our daily bags and feed parker his outmeal and fruit mixture.

It was now time for the part he was not looking forward to, and had this expression for candi, notice how big his tummy gets when he is done eating, he looks like a little budda belly.
DSC06998.jpg

this is what he was not happy about.
DSC06999.jpg

lotion time.

However his mood changed back to his normal smiley self.

DSC07001.jpg

Onthe way i realized i did not take any pictures outside the room on the grounds.
DSC07003.jpg

our room was right behind her on teh second floor in the corner.
DSC07005.jpg

and our building.
DSC07006.jpg

it looked like there was suppose to be water in here at some time.
DSC07009.jpg

DSC07010.jpg

and our bus stop.

DSC07012.jpg

well it was still only a little before 9 and we could not get into the water park yet and we had never seen the AKL so we thought lets go over there, and check it out, it is close to BB and we should get a fast transfer when we are done.

so we caught the bus to AK, then switched within minutes to a bus goingto AKL.

DSC07016.jpg

lobby pics.

DSC07022.jpg

this was out one of the viewing rooms, but no animals.
DSC07029.jpg

the big stairs that come down the lobby to the viewing area.
DSC07032.jpg

i wanna stay there
DSC07035.jpg

where else could you wake up and stand in front of a window naked and look at girraffs and not get arrested, huh.
::yes::

well i guess you could in these rooms as well.
DSC07036.jpg

there were no animals out this one either, the guy said they would be back at 11, yeah im gonna wait 2 hours, so we went over to the viewing area by the pool.

DSC07037.jpg

there are girraffs way out there.
DSC07039.jpg

no wait scratch that, i found my new naked room, and would want to stay there.
far corner see it .
DSC07040.jpg

if candi is reading this i can see her right now.:sad2:

animals were to far to see to good, but we had water awaiting us so onward we went.
we waited at the BB stand,
4 MK busses came, 3 epcot bus a couple of AK buses, this was the second MGM bus/BB bus that was very slow in the last 2 days.

we noticed more and more people were getting around the bus station and were trying to cut all of us people that had been waiting for a good 20 minutes so i got up and went in front of them that just walked up and stacked our spot.
there were 3 HC people waiting to get one, so that took 10 minutes to load once the bus got there, then we finally made it to BB, we were not mad cause it was a relaxing day but still took a while.

I will stop there, and next chapter will be us in BB finally.

I just love him!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes I know I say it after every update, but Parker's just the cutest thing and always so happy! Love it!

Sounds like you all had a nice relaxing morning at AKL. Your "naked rooms" cracked me up! :lmao::lmao:
