I have hit rock bottom.....my 3 1/2 year old just asked for his vitamin before bed (that and half a dozen other things before bed:rolleyes:) and well, it totally brought me back to the days when I was a kid and would eat them like candy. How heathly is that UGH!!

So, anyone else like these or am I just totally whacked!!

Gee, eat Flintstones vitamins like candy...that screams a tag:rolleyes:

My DD takes these but, not me! Not in many years, anyway. ;)

I loved these as a kid. But my mom was into natural and health food stuff so no candy like vitamins for us. I only got them when we were at my grands or a friends. And I used to sneak extras too.
As a note, I had a friend who would not take her maternity vitamins. The dr. let her take prescription kiddy vitamins.

Like candy? LOL!
Actually when my kids started taking them, I remembered how much I liked them too. Occasionally I would skip my One A Day and take a Flintstones. They are good. ;)

I love those things! lol

my mom told me this story about how one time her and her cousin ate like a whole bottle!
she said she was really sick after that...lol

I take those!! :)

I have issues swallowing big pills and so I take the flinstones chewable completes.

When I was 5 I got into the bottle and ate a lot of those little Flinstones! Dr. had my mom take me to the ER. They tried getting me to drink Ipicac syrup (however it's spelled?) to make me vomit, but I refused to drink it - just kept spitting it out - made a real mess! Finally, they had to put a tube through my nose & down into my throat to get the medicine in me to make me vomit. I was very stubborn as a child (DH says I still am). I remember after they tried a few times to get me to drink the syrup, and I kept spitting it out, they brought in this head nurse or administrator or something, who was dressed nicely and she pointed out how nicely she was dressed and I wouldn't want to get the syrup all over her clothes, would I? Yeah, right! I proceeded to spit the syrup out all over her, as well. That's when they decided the tube was a good idea.

That experience pretty much discouraged me from eating too many vitamins again!

I couldn't take the prenatal vitamin (who ever decided to make a vitamin the size of a football, then tell a naseaus person to swollow it???) so my OB had me take 2 Flintstones with iron. Of course, everyone thought it was so funny when they asked, so if it's a girl is it Pebbles and if it's a boy is it Bam-Bam? I had to laugh at that like I'd never heard it every single time. :p

Glad to hear I am not the only one LOL. And I also could not take my prenates so I did take the Flinstone Complete and was just fine. Hmmmmm, if I get have another baby I can have one everyday again:p

It would be cheaper just to take the vitamins everyday. :p

You know, if you check the label, one Flintstone actually provides an adult with a full day's supply of a great many vitamins. They're fun and healthy! I chew one up every morning! Been doing it for years. :D Nothing wrong with having a little fun while being good to yourself.

You guys have talked me into it: I'm starting the Flintstone regimen. I'll let you know how I do.:D

I thought this was going to be about the fact that there never used to be Betty in the vitamins and now there is! :teeth: But yes, I used to love them as a kid. Never remember taking lots of extras though.
