Hi everyone! Thought I would share my experinece to warn people to always check their flights.
I booked a package through WDTC with air on US Airways. Apparently US Airways cancelled my flight and booked us on an earlier flight without notifying WDTC. We were supposed to depart the Orlando airport at 4:30pm but that flight was cancelled so they put us on the 3pm flight. I wasn't really happy about this because we will only be there for 7 days and don't think we have enough time as it is. Thank godness I have been keeping track and was able to get US Airways to change the flight so we leave Orlando @7pm. This way we'll get a couple extra hours @ WDW.
I'm a little surprised that WDTC didn't have the flight change info.
US Airways said they have an automated system and when they
have a flight cancel, it books you on the closet flight to the original time.
I really wanted the later flights but had only decided that a few weeks ago. Of course when I called US Airways they said penalties applied for any changes. But I guess its okay for them to incovenience everyone without penalties.
And although I'm glad everything worked out I would have been very angry if I got to the airport (or called to reconfim) and then found out the flights had changed.
My advice to everyone is definitely check.
