We go to disney every year in August and I usually book flights and hotel seperately. :dance3:

My question is how much yould you expect to pay for flights (either direct of indirect from Manchester of Glasgow) and where do you find them?

I have never found a bargain price (have paid £550 for direct from Glasgow this August) and put it down to being tied to school holidays. Is this right or am I just looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

Ahh someone else who sounds exactly like me! I've personally found the information from Glasgow to Orlando is almost non-existant! But, I can offer some advice.....BA have just started a sale and I'm being quoted £360 pp for GLA-LGW-MCO for May 2010 (that I'm very tempted to book). Only problem with August is flights won't be out yet (unless you're booking a package).

I have looked at direct too, and like you, I found around £550 the general price range from Glasgow. Next cheapest I've found for indirect is £450 ish without the BA sale. I'm a bit clueless myself, lol, as like I said there's very little info from Glasgow!

I'm sure you'll be able to get alot of info from Manchester people!

That sounds like a really good price to me. I would go ahead and book it if I were you. If only I could travel in May.

We have flights from Man to Orl via Atlanta for this Aug which cost £300 each through Opodo with Airfrance on Delta plane. Hoping for somthing similar next Aug.

if you don't mind me asking, what dates in August are you going and what month were these flights booked in?

We fly 20/8-3/9, Wayne posted these prices from 17/8 but there went within a day. It was the beginning of March. I booked for a friend for 24/8 for £360 from Newcastle with 2 stops at beg of May, with Netflights.

Hi All,
We are also looking to travel in August 2010, preferably the last 2 weeks (16 or 17 days), we usually travel Virging but will not be held to ransom!

Personally I would be (extremely) happy with any direct flights from Manchester (or indirect from Newcastle, where we live) for around £500 each, although I have my doubts about getting any for that price.

We have flown indirect before, but for us with two children it was a bit of a bind (but wouldnt rule it out!).

Wayne, could you advise me on the best websites to look?, also are there any with which I can register to get sale alerts (your trip with Delta looks exceptional!), I think time will be of the escence.

Cheers for any help

Michael

Websites I always check
travelsupermarket.com
kayak.co.uk
kelkoo.com
If the £ is strong then a good site is Orbitz.com as you pay in $'s, last Oct half term we paid $480(£240) indirect with them, UK sites were a lot more.

I just search and search, 4, 5, 6 times a day everyday until I find what I want, might take me 3 months but always get there eventually.

Keep checking DIS and Dibb, many like myself post August offers when we see them.

The Delta flights I think will be a one off, we paid £465pp but since we booked they have been between £1200-1700pp it just let us book Biz class for same price as economy, lots of us got them. I might even let them supply me a alcholic drink, never had a drink inflight before:rotfl2:

Blimey, I'd go several times a year if I could get those prices!

Getting prices like this is way we afford upto 4 trips a year. Combined with offsite hotels at £20-30/night incl breakfast its as cheap as Europe for us.
