Hi
Already looking to go again in August 2005 for 3 weeks but this time we'll be goingwith my brother and his family. At the moment we just want flights but the sites I've been onto are not showing flights after May. Any links would be appreciated.
Also I've been reading about the best times to go in August and we are thinking about 7th, taking it easy for the first week, to the 28th August. Is that the best time?

Scheduled airlines don't release their prices until 11 months before the date of travel, which is why you can only find flights up to May of next year. Charter airlines and package tour operators like Virgin Holidays will have prices available for next summer, so you could try them to at least get an idea of prices.

If you have to travel during school holidays I think the end of August is a pretty good time to go. Most US schools go back in mid-August, so crowds around the parks are not too bad. If you fly out on 7th August the first week of your holidays will offer the full summer opening hours and the full roster of parades and shows. Anout 16th August opening hours will start to reduce, but queues will also dimish as US schools return. It will be hot and humid, but that's a fact of life in the summer time in orlando!

Regards

Rob

Thanks Rob
Does anyone know what difference may be between this year and next year flight prices, longshot I know but is there a percentage it jumps. Looks a lot different than when we normally go in Oct but then it is the school hols!
One other question, and i think i've asked this before, but do all the quotes online from car rental companies include the correct insurance?

We went at a similar time last August and didn't find the crowds that bad. As Rob says, schools in the US go back towards the end of August so the parks tend to be a bit quieter.

Looking at flydrive prices for 2005 I think it looks like they have gone up quite a bit! Over £100 more than we paid last year with Virgin.

If you can't wait until to book, you can book a flydrive before the 11 month scheduled flight window. We booked a Virgin Holidays flydrive about 13 months before we went - as we were staying onsite for the whole 14 days we just didn't bother picking the car up at the airport.
